"The brass on you" She laughs, "Sorry Adam. But tell you what, you find another girl you want to go out with sometime, and I'll set you both up at a top notch resturant sometime sure to impress her"

A wistful sigh. "That's very nice of you, Dame. Thank you."

"I wish." He grins.

"Young man, do you wish to make a purchase? Perhaps for another lady?" The vendor says "I have the finest wares this side of the River Kimbah"

Adam glances over what is there.

Well, lots of things, it IS like a flea market kind of. There's a shining trumpet of brass, a palm sized stone statuette of an ugly 6 legged lizard thing with a hateful glare, a set of earrings that look like they might be jade, a beer stein with the depiction of a half ruined castle

"These earrings....?"

"Oh, now there is a fine purshase... they were once worn by Greta Garbo, a famous movie star known for elegance. " the man says "I got them at a rare price..."

"And they were a challenge, three riddles I had to answer just to have a chance against a hundred other competitors! yours.. for only 300 dollars"

"Three....! Uh, pass, thanks."

"AH, but you have an honest face.. for you, perhaps 259?" A coaxing tone

"Thank you, anyway. They're really nice but I just cant." He pinks a little. "Good luck
" Adam moves off.

Tylar moves helpfully to him "Adam, you do know about haggling right? He was hoping you'd buy them high sure, but you can bargain. It's like at a mall" A pause "Wow. I actually miss malls"

"Thanks, man, but I really can't. Not working and I'm not asking dad."

"Oh. I hear you" Rollo says "I want to get something nice for Velvet for Yule, but I don't think that guy has it" he moves along with Adam "Adam.. you seem to know girls. What do you get for the girl who loves books but you worry she'll already have every book you could think of getting her?"

"Books.... I mean, I like to read but nothing too heavy, you know? Never dated anyone who, like, -wanted- books. I dunno.... write her one?"

"Write..her.. " He blinks "man I don't think I can just WRITE her one"

"I mean.. it would probably suck"

"But it would be one she couldn't possibly have written." Reasonably "Know anyone good with that kind of stuff who could help?"

"Welll maybe" he says thoughtful

"I..thanks."

"Sure thing, man." Adam glances back at Leonora with a sigh and moves along.

"You okay?" he says

"Yeah! Lil worried about Alanza with that jerk but...."

"Me too" he says "I got a bad vibe off him" He admits "Boggans are good at that, though you can't be sure and real accuracy takes time"

"I mean, she can take care of herself but I know that guy, kinda."

"Yeah? what's the story there" rollo says " I can put a warning out to others"

"Dude.. he did the thing? And the THING? " Gasps

"Yeah." Grimly. "Like I said, jerk, right?"

"Definitely, and he threated to do the THING t oyhour mom when you caught him at the first thing"

A smirk. "Like to see him try now."

"No kidding, if the Baronesss caught him doing that, his ass would be in the dungeon"

"Not to mention what my mom can do to him now."

"Yeah? Your mom is getting good at some arts I hear." He says "She learning to kick ass?"

"Dunno, but at least she's Fae now."

"Yeah, EVERYONE is talking about that" he says "Bit envious"

"Yeah. It was... a fluke, Iguess."

"No way, man, Da'an has to be involved. If somehow mortals were turned into changelings, then there's a purpose to it"
