Zara is walking the halls in her quiet way. As she walks, she hears the boggans Taylor and Charity talking, Taylor, poor girl, has no interest in clothing but Vince seems fixated on the idea. Charity is such a dear, quite lives up to her name, but most know she's a lusty lass and as annoyed as Taylor is by Vince at times, Charity adores the lion pooka's attention. But it's not Vince they're talking about

"Oh I just LOVE the chapter where she finds the secret passage... "

"It nearly killed her"

"But it lead to her discovering so much because she could eavesdrop on the conspirators who were planning the murder..."

This..sounds familiar

Zara finds a shadow to hide in, and eavesdrops.

"You don't find the nobleman's shot a tad unrealistic? Suddenly he's a sharp shooter?"

"it's not suddenly, the man was a hunter. Remember that shot he made from so many yards on the pheasant to..."

"Feed that family, oh yes. I admit, I found the generosity very sexy"

"I know right? But oh the Vicar's smile"

the two titter and start discussing which male characters are the most toe curling. There can be no question they are talking about Zara's book

The whispers as they discusss her book echo down the halls. It would appear a lot more folks are reading it than she thought

And they don't know the secret! How delightful!

"Well, I've got my novel on my bookshelf, I think I'll re read the last chapter again..."

Novel? As in paperback?

"Me I'm going to re read the earlier one. Until you mentioned I forgot about the shooting to feed the family scene" Taylor admits "I hate it when a writer pulls something out of their ass that wasn't there before so it's good to know she DID built it up"

And soon Adam is getting a fantastic story about a sidhe princess / high society girl, a private jet being emptied, and a duel in parachutes with another kithain

Adam is wide-eyed, eating it up.

"Natuerally the bastard took a swing at my chute cords"

"Wait, you were there?!?!"

"I was the hero in this story" Bachdion explains

"Oh! COOL."

"Yes, the lady thought so" He smiles "You'd have liked her, Adam..sparkling green eyes, golden hair and great sense of humor. "

"Oh, man... she sounds.... yeah." A grin.

"She's married now, to a lovely lady. they've got a cozy hold in the mountains. Guess she liked heights"

"Aw. Still, good she has someone; she's happy."

"Exactly, we Fiona are the biggest shippers out there. Sometimes it's true love, sometimes it's a lot of fun, but we're happy for anyone normally" he says "Some of us believe in the one utter devotion, others believe if you can't be with the one, love the one you're with. "

Adam grins. "I like the last one, but I'm open to the first one!"

"Funny how THAT works" Jack the grump satyr grins "Refills?"

"Thanks, Jack. " Bachdion says

"Sure!"

Drinks are refilled, and Jack says "read that book, Dio?" A nickname few others use

"I did, it's really quite good. A bit purple in prose, but a small failing really" A sip

Adam takes advantage of the beverage service....

They talk about this new book making the rounds, a gothic romance. Jack admits it's a fun frolic but adds "It ah, remind you of anyone?"

"oh.. yes... but let's leave that be for now" Bachdion grins

Adam looks up with some interest, listening.

"You like romance novels, kid?" Jack asks

"I... uh, I haven't read any."

"It's okay if you don't.." Jack says

"oh but you should, great research into what some women dream about" Bachdion says

"eh.." Less sure "SOME women sure, but it can also give you bad advice" Jack says

"Well, of course, but even a few revelations can be golden" The knight defends the medium

"Well...." He grins "I might have read -some-....."

"It was kinda.... blah?"

"Not for everyone" Jack says
