"Traumatic indeed." He agrees. "I think all involved have rights under the Escheat. And I doubt any legal action will heal bad blood."

"Have you met the new arrival? does he or she seem cruel?"

"I am not sure I know him well enough to say. He has good influences on him."

A nod "Also good news. So.. how are you involved and how did you come to be concerned with it?" Curious

"Other than my own curiosity, and an interest in the hypothetical, I am not directly involved. "

August nods. "I agree. Might for Right."

A gentle smile. "I could not agree more, Councillor. "

"But.. I think your squire is waiting for you, at least one of them" He gestures

"A large shipment of food has been delivered. Normally, this would be the steward's task, but it appears adressed to you"

He looks baffled. "A large shipment of food? To me? Show me. Excuse me Councillor. "

"Of course" the barrister smiles "My this hold is rarely dull"

Velvet leads her liege on towards the kitchen area. He rarely goes here. In fact, the staff are almost tyranicaally possessive of the area, but in this case they part for him and mutter

It's Delores who greets him "Baron, a letter for you" She offers it "Regarding the food"

The word heretell is your'e trying to help good folk what caught kicked out of their homes by an Autumn folk. You and others. I don't know them. I know you only a little, and I don't much care for sidhe but who and what I like makes no nevermind to what's right. Got no place to put mortals, but they will need food. Should be enough squash, potatoes, hunted game, flour and corn to feed near 50 folk for 20 days. Please see to it they get it. Delores looks at him, "We did an inventory. A GREAT deal of sqauash. High quality squash, but still squash"

August is nonplussed. "Let's.... there are food banks, Yes? "

"Apparently it's supposed to go to those folks who got evicted. " The steward says "You want to give it to food banks instead?"

"What if we split it up? Some directly to the evicees we know about, s9me to food banks to help those we don't? And some.... could we hold it and make other food as well, bread and cake and.... things?"

"Well, certainly we can" she says "The flour they sent especially will make fine bread cake and more" A lift of her chin "Not to disparage these DeBukes, but we can take the raw materials and make a banquet that is beyond anything they'd imagine."

"Fuck yeah, THAT is what I'm talking about" One boggan with a chef's hat pumps the air.

The steward sighs "I've asked you not talk like that, Geofry"

"Shit. Sorry" Geoffry says

"That way the food would go to those that need it, manageably. "

The steward nods "I thought similarly, but it's your food techiically. Is that what you'd like done with it?"

"Yes, if you don't mind, Steward."

"Not at all. I'll keep your squires informed to pass onto you how it's coming along. If you have any special requests for a squash dish..." She glances at the crates "Please.. please let us know"

"Isn't there a bread you can make?"

She looks at Geoffry

"I will bread the hell out of it" he assures her

"Okay" She nods then turns to August and nods

"Thank you, Steward. And Geoffrey."

"You're welcome, Baron. And thank you for your prompt response. We can now store it a bit more safely and know what to do" She saysd
