"Truly, Zane, you are exceptional" the fledge smiles at him.

Zane grins as they walk the gardens, "Me? I'm just a wizard in training, but I'm getting there. Hey, I think it's great you have one of Sir Almond's books. Pardon, COUNT now, did you know he's a count?"

"No" She says "But I cannot say I'm surprised" Minerva says "It would seem satyrs are far more academic than they get credit for, and bards need must be both inspiring and lore wise, good traits in a leader"

"My father, he's a scholar as well, believes many kiths have something to offer as leaders. He's very fond of troll rule" Zane nods

"Really?" She mulls this over "They seem so detatched"

"Merely a different style" The satyr assures her "They tend to be protective of their charges, not a bad trait for a ruler."

"And what arts do they rely on to do this protecitng of a whole fief or more?" She asks

Zane checks her out, pondering ... Damn, she's hot

Then he sighs "Minerva... you've been very nice to me ever since I showed some of the magic I can do."

"Well, it's impressive" She nods

"Thanks, I worked hard on it" He glances at the cane in his hand, the cane that was oncee used for other things. And a reminder of who I must never let my magic tempt me into being then he continues "But you don't really believe commoners should rule. Your smiles don't reach your eyes. And , frankly, you're trying too hard to accomidate me. You turn the subject back to magic, and you're clearly trying to fish lesssons out of me. Now, your mentor probably is making sure you learn the rules cold before you get to the fun magic stuff, and if so, I understand your frustration,..."

Her eyes widen, a light flush,"I assure you..."

"Don't," He holds up his hand , "My point is, As much as yes, I would love to kiss you, touch you, and more... so much more, I'm not going to let you seduce free magic lessons out of me under pretense of being into me when you're not. I'm a hell of a guy, and frankly? You'd be lucky to have me. but more important? What your'e trying to do? I think eventually you'd harm your own sense of self worth and.. that'd be a shame, because I think sidhe beauty aside, you could be an amazing woman to know. Talk to you later maybe?"

She stands as if slapped. Nothing here works as it should. Well, of course the damn goat was right, but how dare he catch on???! Minerva lifts a chin "Perhaps" A bit cooly.

"Faaantastico," He raises the cane at his side and sallutes her, "Welcome to the changeling world, not all the pieces play the roles you think fit them, learn that, and we will love you moving us around a WHOLE lot more" And off he goes.

And off he walks, his toned furry underside moving with confidence.

Minerva flushes again, a mix of anger and... damn it, interest. Confidence is sexy. And while a part of her longs to feed him to the dark monsters in her pit of revenge (She doesn't have one yet but she's sure she did), another feels a heat that has nothing to do with arcane studies.

Once he is gone, she takes a breath then mutters to herself "Change is good I know, but I'm starting to think it would be much better if they'd gone through me for approval" And she flumps on a bench irritated

In the distance she can see That Boy walking an inferior dog.

How fitting She thinks drily, not fond of Adam who tried to kill her, and not fond of boys right now anyway. They're proving difficult to manage. That said, she doesn't withdraw either

and Dumas sniffs something, and wagging, turns direction heading towards a bench with a sidhe on it, dragging Adam along

"Dumb ass, no, come over here. Quit." Adam has seen her.

But GIRL, Adam likes girls, Dumas is a good boy, he watched!

Minerva observes "This isn't one of the Kennel hounds" A look at him "His bloodline is all over the place"

"Dumb ass, -COME-." Adam tries to yank him away.

"Don't HURT him" She protests! Standing

Dumas irks but is yanked back to Adam's side. He wags though. no harm no foul.. you rang?

"Fine!" Frustrated, Adam drops the leash and walks away.

And Dumas heels and follows, trailing Adam. That's his boy!

His leash dangling.

"What did I do?" Minerva says angry "he's your dog"

"Look, you come with me, you come with -me-." Adam will take the leash again, looking at the dog. "But hey, good work heeling."

WAG! PRAISE

"Yeah." Adam grins. "Good boy."

"You didn't really name the poor beast Dumb Ass, did you?" Minerva says

Dumas hops a bit at Adam's approval. Every dog knows when humans smile, it summons the sun!

This is why dogs work so hard to make humans happy, to keep the world from eternal darkness. You're welcome, stupid shadow loving cats

"Ok, c'mon...." and Adam starts to lead them away.

Minerva sees she's been ignored, not once, but several times, "You're very rude, Adam Thomas." She turns to go back to her bench

Dumas follows but does glance back at the girl.

Adam leads the dog off. He has lessons to attend to.

Dumas resumes following. he's actualy getting heeling down pretty fast.. as long as there are zero distractions!

Adam gives him a treat from his pocket.

"You don't want to be near her anyway." He assures the dog.

Dumas isn't sure about that, he likes people, but hey, he loves people with treats more, so YUM

"You hang out in the kennel for lesson, ok?"

Wag! WUFF!

Adam takes Dumas in and sets him up, then heads for his lesson.

"REALMS... not just for D&D" Magnus declares
