"Of course I do, but It occurs to me I could just portal passage the top" he says threatening to steal all the fun out of this

"Feh. Mishegoss."

A kiss on the top of her head "Fine fine. We do it your way but if you get hurt i will fuss over you like a mad man while Emma tends to you. I will rant and mutter like a maniac in languages forgotten. "

"Ohhh, not the pooka..."

Fuss, fiddle, tweak.

"What's wrong with Emma?"

"Naught."

"But she is so... bubbly..."

"Well, that's true" he nods "but no one is perfect"

And she tinkers, and clicks, drawing out the tiny needle inside. Interesting. It's not a venom, it's a spell.

Head-tilt, and she kenns it. "What have we here?"

Oh what an interesting magic. It pricks you and oh! Wicked clever design. It takes secrets from you? She can't be sure if it takes it, or just copies it.

"Earl, didst thou place this?"

"I just got this room" He says.

And looks baffled.

"Mm. Hmm."

Needle disarmed, she tries opening the box.

And within, a treasure trove...of sorts. A crystal ball of some sort : spherical, with a milky white color that seems to shift and refract colors as you look into it.

It is about baseball sized. And there is more.

Oh, she looks. She always does.

A spool of silver thread? Precious, and power in it.

And a small antique bell that could fit in her hand, but no clapper. Odd marks, runes along the interior of the bell.

She reads the runes, oh this is a treasure-trove of delights!

The mark of House Eiluned is inside the box.

"I think this wasn't meant for us" Earl says, missing the point that thats what makes it all the more delicious.

"Aye. Isn't it wonderful?"

Runes have become child play to her, but this is not a language. It is primal, symbolic.. symbols for spirit and soul

"If this belonged to the old Baron, then sshouldn't this go to the Baroness? Or.. House Eiluned?" Oh troll guilt they gave him the room so he feels bad putting one over on them.

"Nay, it belongs to us. We found it, they abandoned it."

"We found it in her hold" Earl says unsure about this. "Maybe it's the summer but my honor is prickling"

"Why? It is not hers."

"If it belonged to the Baron Nemasus, then shouldn't it be hers as his heir? how would you feel if something belong to your grandmother was found in Scarsdale and someone just ran off with it?"

"That is not the same."

"For arcadian sidhe, it's what they have" Her large blue cricket of conscience reminds.

He does eye the bell, crystal, and string "Though . I can understand the temptation?"

"She has the fire, the hold, the court, the boggans, the title... pray, to what all think you she entitled?"

Earl gives her a brow at that "He wanted to her to have what was his. If this was his, then we are defying the wish of a deadman"

"He is dead and gone. Here, we have found this and you wish to simply hand it over to a noble?"

"Not to a noble, to a hostess who lent me use of this lovely room so I can be close to you even when I cannot be with you. I would feel the same if she were a troll chieftain, or a Sluagh Genry"

"I found it. I defeated it. I evaded its traps."

"That you did" He says, proudly "Your keen eyes, cleverness, and deft hands are the champions of the hour. And if you chose to hand these over to the baroness, if you did, it would not take that victory from you. No one can take away your deeds."

A stubborn set of her jaw.

He kisses the base of that jaw, "Still, we don't know what they do yet, and if they might be cursed or what not. I suppose you would want to do more research before considering if they should be put into the Baroness', or anyone else's hands. You are librarian, and resarch is one of your provinces. So how long do you think you'll need with these? year and a day?"

She glowers.

"I've upset you" he says with an apologetic tone, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to diminish your enjoyment of your moment. " He looks at hte items "What do you think they're for?"

"I know not." Prickly.

"Give them to the Baroness and see if she can discover it."
