Leonora , knowing this, realizes she's going to meddle anyway. And off she goes.

Thistlesnort looks at his mistress dubiously as he follows.

"Relax, Thistlesnort. I'm not dim" She says "And they'll thank us later"

A knock on the door of the library

Shadows curl though the crack at the bottom of the door.

"Come on, Raven" It's Siv. "I don't scare anymore. And I did come all this way to talk"

Silence.

"Well, it's a public library" A pause "okay, not public but it is open" Siv enters in, and starts feeling around. She's sure footed so, making her way slow, finds things. Bookcase. Table. Spiders on her arms "Ok..cute ladies... "

The spider sisters sscurry, but then fuss as Siv is not properly terrified

"And like a child, I'd be testing the people who loved me, pulling away from them almost for the sole reason of seeing if anyone would come after me.” the bookwyrm quips.

"Bronte!" THAT earned a whisper, hissed back from somewhere in the dark.

"Bronte, be nice" Siv says "Even in your truths mm?" but she smiles as she says it, then sits down

and yes, finds a chair, though she might be straddling it turned around, her height letting her look over it

“It's not wrong to feel sorry for yourself. Just like it's not wrong to stand in a puddle of water while the rain pours down on your head. But neither is productive, unless you enjoy feeling cold and miserable and soggy while mascara runs down your face.” Bronte lands and settles by the trolless.

Feeling the flutter, Siv slowly extends her hand to try to pet the dragon, or let the dragon stroke her hand "Sometimes we need a chance to let it out, Bronte. Each in our own way Life is like that. One moment your man is wonderful, he makes you feel like a crisp autumn leaf flying and dancing in circles. Then suddenly you're in a puddle getting stepped on wondering what happened to your lover the wind who was a moment ago so perfect"

A huff.

"Need you aught?"

"I'm looking for a book with advice on how to get a friend to talk to me and open up a bit about her sorrows without letting her feel down forever. Is there such a book here?"

"No."

"Well, then I'll have to wing it. Zara, you have almost never made the library impassable"

Siv tilts her head "Oh that was saucy. Fine. Fire away if it helps ye. But we both know it's not me you're upset at , or about. I'm just pointing out that this behavior is unusual for you, and frankly, it screams, in a silent way, of hurt. Now I know you, when one of us is hurting you rush to the aid of folks, or teach the hurt ER a lesson. Because you, Zara Manynames, have a kind heart full of love for many. Can you not accept others would want to help you in turn? "

"Yes yes, we're horrible blue jerks" A nod

"Large and stomping" She nods

"Aye."

"Oh and they seem stoic, but not all are, and even the ones who are? When they DO talk? they boom. Like modulation is beyond the lugs"

"don't even get me started on the - " A pause "Yes, Zara?"

"Siv, if you do not require a book..."

"Zara . I'm here to check you out. That is to see what's going on, to offer my help... or, my ear. What did that big blue tombstone of a troll do to you?"

"Feh."

"I'd rather hear from you than boggan gossip" She says then lowers her voice "They're a fine kith, but even for a talker like me, they can be a bit tawdry"

"Yes yes, Feh on me, Feh on my cow etc etc... " A look "Zara, even if your shadowy barricades didn't give everyone a clue, Earl painting himself being hunted and slain by a rivergoddess in a wrath might do the same"
