Oh yes. Preening.

"Wait till you see her in flight" he says "Now, let her get back to her chicks, and I will show you some of the others. Introductions and so forth" The bird is not hte only one preening. Sir Sergei looks very proud

"Yeah, no...." he moves to unite Kansas with her babies.

She hops down to join them, and checks each one with quiet approval. She will get them more food when they need it, not before.

"Now, which bird would you like to see first?"

"Sir?"

"I did not know if you wanted to look at one of the falcons, or the owl, or another hawk" He says "or the Raven" A sigh "Not exactly a bird of prey, not that he cares."

"Don't care!" The Raven chortles

"Uh? No, Sir, just..... whatever you wish to show me."

"The Raven's name is Macbeth" The Varich sighs

"Macbeth! " The Raven nods

"Just ignore him, eventually he might shush" The Varich's words are harsh but he holds out a hand and the raven settles on it

"Is he a...uh, pooka?"

"No, if he were I'd kick him out and he'd be someone else's problem" A stroke none the less

The Owl, he moves to next, is HUGE.. "This is Merezhkovsky. A Eurasian Eagle Owl. Owls hunt by sound, they are not as clever as some other birds... normally"

Merezhkovsky looks offended.

"But Merezhkovsky is an exception."

"Feh! Owls! Feh!" Macbeth is not impressed by the claims of the Owl's intellect being an exception

Merezhkovsky shoots a look at Macbeth as if to say It's going to get dark soon, you know that right?

"At least Merezhkovsky doesn't get LOST when something besides the target catches his eye, Macbeth" The Varich sighs

And introductions with the other birds are made. One by one.
