A laugh. "Oh, he showed me. I didn't know that was the type of learning you'd be doing here. But hey, it's working." The smile lingers on her face for a moment as she plays with her glass. "I haven't seen Jonas as often around the Lodge - not sure if that means he's been busy, or timesharing over here?"

A light blush "Anne Marie keeps finding reasons to send him here. I could kiss that woman.. in a purely plutonic way mind you"

A fond smile at seeing that blush. "I'm glad it's working out with you two. What does he think about the whole Fiona thing? I imagine it's much like being a Satyr - even if you don't practice a free love or interpretation thereof as part of your personal philosophy, everyone is going to assume that you do anyways..."

"Not that there's anything WRONG with that." She waves expressively. "Just thinking, in the way folk see it from the other side."

"I'm learning THAT" She says with a sigh "I think everyone assumes I'm over here getting more action than a pornstar filming for a Utah audience" Then she says "He's acceptining ISH? He's not crazy about some of the free love stuff"

"I could see that. Trolls - at least, from my limited experience - tend to be less expressive about their emotions. Do you know, I think I might have seen your dad smile on Beltaine? It was hard to tell though, under his beard, but his eyes crinkled up just a bit as he was watching the chief tell her story during the brag-thingy."

"Did the beard MOVE while the rest of him didn't, and there was no breeze? if so, probably him smiling" She nods

She giggles. "You'd have to be a troll - or perhaps a boggan - to be completely sure."

"Oh sometimes being a troll doesn't help, least it didn't for me.. I was slow to clique with it... " She smiles "i'm glad he had a good beltaine."

She runs a finger on the rim of her glass. "Beltaine was mostly good. There was a big of a... kerfuffle, but it was settled, half then and half later. Still a good night. ...I'm assuming that you heard about the willworker?" Her mouth downturning as though she had an unpleasant taste, and a quick sip of the mead to wash that away.

"Yes.. but it was rushed. Something about it wearing an Adam costume?"

A frown. "It wasn't a costume, he actually possessed Adam, and like... shoved the real Adam out into the last body he'd stolen, some poor old homeless guy." A sigh. "We kinda got into a fight over it. Zane and me, with Adam. And things still feel weird."

"Holy shit" She says "I'm so sorry, I didn't know I... IS Adam okay? I mean... you just said 'still feels weird' so..."

"He's okay." A swallow. "He... his body got a bit beat up when the wizard was in there, but they healed him up completely after they managed to make them switch back. So he's okay now... but Zane had to do a working on Adam to get him to come back to the lodge at all so that we could fix things."

"Why wouldn't Adam go if he was ..well, in charge of the old body?" Brow knit

"He wanted to stick with this old lady he met. Said that he owed it to her, or something like that. But the lodge was in danger. The people - I didn't see it, but they said that lil' Jack was burned pretty badly, and Torin was a close call. And the Balefire itself. He was already touching it by the time the Chief showed up and figured out things weren't right. It all worked out in the end, but if we'd been there sooner..." A frown.

Siv looks... pale "I..." A look of horror on her face "They didn't tell me it got that close"

She bites her lip and nods. "I'm sure they didn't want to worry you. Like I said... it all worked out." A small fidget. "They sent him where he can't ever threaten the lodge- or your family- again."

"That's good to know, but listen to me... Adam...I'm sorry he scared you. Must have. Him refusing to come along"

"I'm just... I'm angry that Adam chose a random mortal over the wellbeing of the freehold and people there. I'm mad that he forced our hand to need to spell him to get there. And I feel BAD that I am mad at him because he suffered from this just as much..."

"I just don't know how to feel. Days before he is given recognition and honor as part of the hold, and he's trying so hard to be as close to a fae as he possibly could be... but the next moment, he's ready to toss us aside for... what? To prove his honor, or something?"

"Maybe the lady was a friend..maybe it was about his honor. I have... not always appreciated Adam and truth, he has a few habits that drove me bonkers. But ..have you talked to him about this?"

She shakes her head. "I was hoping that talking it out with a friend would help me sort out what I actually feel about it. I've been a bit of a mess, honestly."

She looks about to say something, then sighs and takes a sip instead, not quite able to get the words right.

Okay, THAT gets a gentle squeeze on the hand, "Two ears right here when you're ready" And I can feel bad for not being there myself later

She looks up at Siv with a smile. "Thanks... I was worried if I tried to talk to Adam before someone else, all my feelings would just boil over like a pot on the heat and start a fire. Us goats tend to be hot blooded and it's hard to unsay things said when the blood gets hot."

"And on that analogy, I'm a terrible cook, too."

"You and Tiffany, both. Tiffany is getting help from Kerri and she STILL worries about burning water"

A gentle squeze part two "Well, what is it you want to say to Adam?"

A small chuckle. And, she frowns a bit, taking a moment to think on that. "I... I'm not sure what he really wants. What motivates him. He acts like he wants recognition, and responsibility, but when he's given those, it's either not enough, or he doesn't like being called to account for what he's done. I mean, I've gotten into a couple scraps with authority, even a shout down with Momma Vera once, but... not like this." A sigh. "When we just spend time together having fun, it's a great time... but I find myself skipping around conversational topics here and there, and having more in common horizontal then vertical."

"But I'm afraid if I tell him that, he'll think I'm just... part of the same system that he feels is holding him down."

"Look, the person you ought to talk to is Hearth Kerri I think. .SHe's.. she's got mad skils. I'm going to tell her what I THINK she might tell you. Okay? If you can tell him how you feel, without accusing per se but with honesty about your concerns, you might find from his perspective what he did made perfect sense but he didn't think outside of that. When I was younger I was.. rather blind to some of my actions and their consequences. If you try to be honest with him and still sensitive to his feelings and he gives you shit for it, thenit'll hurt.. but you'll have a better idea where things stand. And if you bottle it up forever , if you find yourself afraid to talk to him about a growing part of your lives, you'll grow to resent him... whehter he's done anything actually bad or not. "A pause "Not sure if I'm helping here. But that's my thoughts"

Piper listens to this, really thinking it over and letting it sink in. A thoughtful nod. "That does make sense. I hadn't thought of talking to the Hearth. I mean, she seems really nice and all, but she's a little... intimidating? Not like your mom is - a different way. More like, too important to bother."

That makes her chuckle "Oh..I think everyone worries that their problems are too small to bother her with, but if you go to her and she solves it easy you might think 'okay, I'm an idiot and I just wasted her time with a problem that wasn't a problem apparently' but if you don't go to her and it blows up you'll have that look from here like 'I was right here, why didn't you come to me?' so you might as well go to her. Reminds me a book about a holy man actually"

A laugh. "Okay, I'll try to remember. Though, I am SURE she has better things to do then talk about my boy problems."

"You'd might be surprised, but she's not shy about letting you know when she's swamped"

A nod. "Well, you've done a treat in her stead." Stealing a sip of Siv's rum. "Mm! Good, but I think that the mead is growing on me. I'm surprised we don't have any brewers in the family... maybe someone at the apartments will try their hands at it. There's generally one or two in a trag' who likes to make a good barrel of something."

"Huh. Now that's a point, a good brewer at the Rivervale might be the only thing missing.. of any kith"

Siv turns "Hey, Jack, I don't suppose you have a bottle of this new mead ? For my friend to take home? put it on me tab"

"Our Jack is too young... maybe yours could visit some day?" A grin down the bar.

Jack grins "Oh you don't want me, PIper. I'm old, and filled with scotch and bitterness" but he does chuckle

"Oh, I think you could hold your own in a drinkin' and dancin' sort of night." A friendly grin.

"Now that's a thought. I don't think there's been any sort of real welcome fling at the Lodge for the new arrivals over at the BAR apartments. I wonder if that might help make some new friends..."

"oh.. maybe" he says with a shrug

"MAYBE? Jack here could drink liquid fire and fart smoke rings without a blink" Siv declares

She leans over the counter a bit and grins. "Do you play at all?"

"Accordion, someone told me when I was young it would improve my love making skills" Jack says dead pan.

"Hey, if Weird Al can make it work, it has possibility."

Siv looks.. CURIOUS but afraid to ask

"I've never had a chance to jam with an accordian."
