August does so.

Siv cuts the counterweight rope and August finds himself carrried up, allowing him to Snag Earl's limp form on the way up and both end up on a low ramp! mind you, BOTH arms hurt after that, but he did it.

Siv whispers "OH we're so lucky the ropes were leaning that way... Emma, his head"

Emma can go up the ramp easily enough, and safely enough

August grunts with the effort, and grimaces, but holds on and lands on the low ramp, trying to gentle and cushion Earl as they land heavily.

Emma scrambles up, tsking. She kneels by the prone troll and pries one eye open. "Bonjour? Bonjour..."

Zara is running up, too!

Knocked out, nasty head bump..concussion possible but it would have been so much worse on the second further hit

"Earl...." He eases the troll down, focused and concerned. "Healer?"

Siv looks to Zara, "he's going to be fine."

"Non, non, my aunt is the hound dog, I'm no heeler..." Emma gently inspects Earls head.

"A beagle, oui? Ah-oo-oo-oo."

Zara frets, spidery fingers tangling into knots.

August reaches up his hand to Zara, inviting her to Earl's side where August kneels.

Yup, Big goose egg.

"Ah! Here's the problem! A goose has nested!"

Emma contorts, her hand forming a bill & her arm a neck, the other hand flapping like a wing.

She leans over Earl's head, 'nesting'

"Why, in no time, that egg will be a gosling! Just need some brooding... "

And while nothing breaks out and peeps, the bump wobbles..seems to crack collapse, and shrink to normal

A satisfied quack.

Earl's eyes open "Uhm.. I think I lost."

"You ruined a smashing fight by your cantrip ending too soon , cheated me of my victory.. now as punishment i'm getting out of your lady's way so she can fuss at you"

Siv says and steps back

Emma steps back, and Zara swoops in!

August, of course, is one of the first things Earl sees, but he moves aside so Zara can have space.

"Now, he shall need a small glacier... or perhaps a bag of peas?"

"August? what are yhou doing here?" Then he sees Zara and smiles "I'm fine... In fact, I've got some great ideas for art"

"I live here, Earl." August smiles as he moves.

Earl actually chuckles then takes Zara's hand

"Ppffft. Thou wouldst."

She takes his hand, and kisses it. "Scare me not!"

"I'll make it up to you" he promises

"August ...pardon , Baron August caught you... zipped up the ropes proper!" Siv says

Zara rests a hand on Earl's forehead, her touch cool.

Emma, meanwhile, has gone off on a quest for a "small glacier"

Or at least an ice pack.

"Yeah?" Earl enjoys his lady's touch, "Thanks, August. Like old times.. one of us falling, the other moving to help"

a smile on his face

"Captain Waveborn had me grab the rope, then cut the counterweight, I suppose. I just held on." August corrects.

August smiles gently. "Yes." Agreeing with Earl.

"Aye...." Zara pets his hair, cradling his head in her lap.

August moves away a bit.

"Thank you August, Siv..."

Siv says "You kidding? Loved it cept for the whump wham of his noggin part" She does seem excited

"I owe you both a debt of life, and friendship, Zara. Earl. No thanks needed."

Earl says "Well, I'm going to thank everyone anyway. Including Emma when she gets back."

"Iceberg, right ahead!"

Earl is currently gazing at Zara's eyes then he hears iceberg

Emma has returned, not with peas but with a bag of frozen corn stolen from the kitchen.
