"Well, I meant you." Parry-parry-parry-strike... "Do you think you weigh her down?"

"I don't know," SHe says honestly "Sometimes I do the 'wonderful life' thinking, would folks be better off if Siv Waveborn was gone, but... that's a pit I dig for myself " Slash-thrust-Slash-Parry "The truth is, I've done some good in this world, more good than bad. And I think my parents would be worse for my abscence... though perhaps fewer gray hairs"

"Mm. A little hint? The ones who would be better for your absence?" Strike-strike-parry-strike. "We call those your enemies. And I've met your parents, and they don't strike me as enemies." Dodge-thrust. "Speed bumps, perhaps, but not enemies."

A snerk "We'll, I think they worry I text while I drive, but aye, " Nicked-parry-thrust-weave "But they're not enemies. I love them, and that's how they manage to find how to hurt me when they don't mean to. I wouldn't trade it for the world though. Better to be hurting than feeling nothing...better to be scared of the loss of love than to have not felt love at all"

The baroness smiles. "Well said. The pain is as much a treasure as the joy." A sweeping parry that transfers into a grand overhead strike.

And Siv catches it, barely, but her eyes light up "Love is both pleasure and pain; all in life is duality." A gasp "Family love matters, and so it must have both pain and pleasure too... "

"Inevitably..." A thrust to her heart. "...and gloriously so."

That gets through, a sound strike, Siv just a bit slowed down by the revelation that House FIona's laws of love provide the answers to the questions troubling her "True love comes in many forms. Deny it not, however it appears." She has definitely memorized them then a blush "Well, didn't mean to turn your kicking my ass into a therapy session but.. thank you"

"Oh, honestly...haven't you already figured out that the world makes so much more sense when you're swinging a blade in your hand?"

She laughs at that, "Somewhere along the way," A whirling attacck "I forgot"

"Then there's your first response, Captain!" Coradel smiles as she parries, evades, and counter-attacks. "When in doubt, duel it out!"

"...or at least a good spar," she allows, jumping over Siv's low strike.

"Ha, I almost did challenge dad to a duel, and then mom. They'd crush me, but hey, if I only fight the battles I can win, where's the glory, the fun, or for that matter real honor?" Twist, she tries changing hands to gain a surprise feint

Coradel almost manages to bat her blade out of the air as it switches hands, but not quite, and she only barely evades that feint. "I think you said your mother taught you a lesson by fighting you once." She reverses the grip on her blade, drawing it across the line of attack in a long arc. "Maybe you need to return the favor sometime."

"Maybe I do," She says, the reversal surprises her, for Bachdion hasn't taught her that one yet and she gets grazed as she tries to roll "Okay, you have got to teach me that!"
