Siv is kind of excited, but looks for a haven, and what better place than the library?

It is a peculiar haven, surely - but a haven, nonetheless.

Are there... more spiders, of late?

Siv looks around "Da would be so proud of me getting all learned and such" she notices the spiders "Oh my... I see at least four or five of ye. "

The spiders might actually be startled by the girl, the magics they're attuned to don't blend well with Siv's gift. Of course, that might just make her all the more intriguing.

"I'm scrambling for a new costume" She admits

Might as well talk to the spiders... or.. perhaps, she ponders, there's a sluagh crammed into a niche "Turns out the baron will be going as a pirate. So I'm thinking last minute switch not to steal his thunder"

"Vashti is swamped, as makes sense, so until I have an idea no point getting in line. What do you ladies think?"

A pause "or gents. Honest to gosh I can't tell and I'm not so rude as to check without your consent"

"Ladies."

"1122 is the only gent in the mix."

"oh so sorry, ladies" Siv says with a bow, then "Hi, Raven. Hope the crowds have died down?"

"A touch, aye." There she is.

"Glad to hear it. That's a lot of spiders" She comments

"Oh, only a few. The others are home."

"Octa, do not stare."

"How many ..do you .." She stops, 'have' might be rude "how many are working and living with you?"

"Fourteen, with 1122. The sisters are new to my life, aye."

"That's a lot of eyes and legs" She comments "And here I thought you were the solitary type."

"Spiders are not people. Is that not a wonderful thing?"

A smile "Aye. I can understand that. Dagmar loves horses more than most strangers."

"Ah, the tall one with the axe?"

"Halberd, she calls it flyswatter..well, actually, Symon named it and it stuck" A nod "She's a good one. Stubborn as an ox, but, well, trolls."

"Trolls."

A smile, wolfish, "Anyway, are ye going to the carnivale party?"

She nods. "Aye, I know not if we shall spend all of it here..."

"Something romantic planned for just the two of you?" A smile "Possibly?"

"Well.. last year, we made our way into Tara-Nar..."

"No way" She says more in surprise than any insult "How the... without an invite?"

One of those sphinx-like smiles.

"ooo, one day, zara, you're going to eat one of those magic cookies and become an Eshu, and I hope I'm there because I want a story or three from ye"

"I have been a nocker and a sidhe. They are a most interesting artifact - met their maker, once." She flits about, preparing a second cup of tea.

"Oh now you're rubbing it in" Siv says

but she is interested

"Quite a quest. But then, you are Dreaming-born..."

"Aye. Sometimes I do wonder how I was possible. I mean..obviously mom and dad loved each other a lot but beyond that i mean.." Ahem

"Magic."

"Aye, but what kind of magic? What force or dream? was it Da'an, or another influence? was it the are they were in? And so on.. .." A roll of her eyes " Ithink I'm trying to avoid costume thinking"

"You are."

"So. Not a pirate."

"Yeah, I thought maybe a pearl, but I'd look like a disco ball. I don't know if even your sister could help"

"A pearl." Head-tilt, considering.

"You've an idea?"

"Perhaps... ah, some kind of luminescent makeup?"

"You mean, body paint?"

"You needn't sew for a chiton - simply pin the silk artfully. So, whitish-grey silk..."

"Aye?"

"possible" SHe ponders "I...guess I don't have to be round to be a pearl"

"Nay. You must shimmer."
