She looks at August. "Unless...your study?"

"The library would suit. I'm sure she'll visit the study, though."

"Perfect, then. She'll have her lair. Now...I need to go speak to some boggans about some quilts."

She carefully avoids crushing the kitten when she leans close to claim a kiss from August, one that lingers just the right amount.

Earl politely looks away during the kiss

August, his hands full, sighs happily at the kiss. "See you at dinner?"

"Absolutely." It's a purr and a promise, and then she taps the kitten on the nose with one fingertip. "Cry havoc, little beast." Then she notes the troll. "Oh, Earl, you're adorable." She touches his arm lightly, then breezes away down the hall.

A blush "That's my curse. " Then a sigh as he looks at a shadowy spot and realizes no one is there.

Another wistful sigh as she leaves.

"Good night, my friend" And Earl heads out. Unsure where he's going to sleep tonight.

And August, unaware Earl is homeless, takes Curiosity and her blankie to the library.

Houses he has, his home? Well, she's with her mama. (End Scene)
