Fingers seek, and tug a stray thread loose from the napkin... it is dropped in the water, too. The surface swirls and smokes, revealing an image...

She still remembers the lessons her mother gave without realizing it. HOlding still to let the facts reveal themselves. Waiting in the woods so that sounds had time to find their rhythm again. So she waits.

And the image forms... blonde haired, pretty for a boggan with eyes of blue, rebuonesque..not a 'knock out' by mortal standards but certainly pleasant to look at . Her fingers are working along the lace...

Zara notes the pattern in the back of her mind... lace-makers... well, that could be an in...

The pattern is quite skillful, the boggan is a true artiste. Spreading her view....zara sees a room, with a tapestry, and yes, a peacock feather on the tapestry design.

There is also a Sidhe in the room, male though. My goodness he is gorgeous... as angel like as any of them. Steel gray eyes, waves of long brown hair that makes you want to run fingers through it. "Surely you must have noticed something?"

"I serve at the will of the lady" The boggan says "But truly, she has no need of us beyond our standard duties. At least not that I coudl tell"

He paces , "I could do it, prove myself to her... perhaps go as a Gwydion?"

Zara tilts her head, watching.

"And when the boon betrayed your falsehood? You are smooth at wenching, Sir Remlette, I .. no woman can easily deny your attentions, but this a group of trolls. Other types of eyes serve better on their lot. " A sigh "Though apparently scrying on them is foiled by one...and the Mountain possibly a risk as well."

"A mountain? You don't mean litterally? Some sort of glome?" Remelette asks

"Nay, it's a trollish title... like a guru," The boggan goes on "Or shaman...spirit wise and magic strong most of them. Between daughter phantom and father of a third eye, not wise to scry"

Her grey lips tug to the side in a wry smile.

"This is why I come to you, Janice. So useful and persepctive and full of trivia. " The knight paces though "Damn...then Slip is on the job, or perhaps Prudence?"

"I wouldn't know,a nd neither should you pry, Sir. The lady has her ways. And no ammount of flattery on your part will have me second guessing her. Most like one of the two yes, but we should not be so free I.." a lace comes lose "We should stop talking now."

"Why?" he says

Eyes narrow.

"A feeling... a feeling... no more" The boggan says "And this... see, what was weaved has slipped free? it is a sign of uncertainty, and perhaps that more skilled weavers than I are about."

A gesture, catching up her and Siv - a rough fuddle, a riot of color for any who would peer back at them.

"Sounds like superstition, but read back. I do out rank you, you know?" He says.

"Trace an eye's path? It's not a line of dots ou know? I.. I can try..." The boggan seems unsure, "But the lady told us to let others handle it."

"Only on the spyin g, this is trusting a hunch of yours..different thing. Do it, please," He runs a finger along the boggan's hands "And I will make you enjoy this carpet knight's glamours of my own."

Janice shudders "I will try."

"Wend and weft the weaving, woe the weaver, woe the woven, went and wreaked and widdershin-bent..."

She uses the unlacing as a bunk, and while she lacks Zara's raw power, she is skilled...

But Zara doesn't go for the boggan - she bends the working, setting it to a false target, though it may think it the correct one...

"I.. see..." she says "The eyes of the falcon are upon us..."

"The Shacklebreaker has found us?" The knight says

All hail Brekke Schacklebreaker! Hero! Chieftain! Troll ! ...boinker of Frank!

"Nay nay... this fellow is sidhe as you... and I see him gazing into a crystal orb caught in the wings of a bronze bird of prey.... He has eyes as deep a great as the oldest woods, and his hair is ringlets of black to his shoulders. He is ...somewhere in the Kingdom of White Sands.. I see the ocean behind him. He's working the magic so casually"

"Some heraldry to tell me who or what.. I need to know..."

"Tis House Gwydion's symbol, no other, and yet... the eyes of the bird are a flame. I have not heard of this standard." She admits

"We have something to go on at least. But why is he spying on US?" The knight says

Smirk.

"I do not know... the lady has many enemies but I ... did you perchance sleep with his lover?" She asks

"Have to narrow it down" The Leanhaun explains.

The boggan gives him a look then says "I have lost the image."

"And I have gained a quest. I was bored anyway" The kngiht smiles and grabs a sword, "Let me find this flame eyed falcon eh?"

"We are dealing with a power greater than Mine," Janice shakes her head, "Persue him if you must, but a small witch knows not to traffic with a great wizard... I sense POWER. And as it has naught to do with our lady's current interests, it has naught to do with me. "

"Slip and Prudence. The sidhe gent seems enamored of the red herring I sent..."

"Much obliged" Siv says and means it

"The courage of boggans as sung in all the great sagas," Remlette tuts. "Fear not, Janice. I'll not mention yoru skittishness when the lady asks how I found and downed a falcon lord prying into her affairs."

"This Janice has some skill."

"Less than you, sounds like, but thanks....true not many can even get a glimpse of me. I may have gotten arrogant" Siv frowns

Janice bows to her superior , "Your kinndess is noted, sir knight. Not all fish want to live in the great sea when small ponds serve them well"

The boggan then throws the lacing she was working on into a fire, no balefire, just a regular one... and with that... the image Zara was looking at, fades into smoke.

"Mmm, she is complicit with all of them." She sits back.

Siv says "Slip or Prudence. I'll remember that. Thank you, Zara. We have a lot more than we did before."

"I think the lordling will not be up too soon to try and seduce his way in..."

"You know, Sidhe lads are good looking and a bit of acheles heel for me, and I think I'm in a lot of company there when i saw that... but I'd rather rut with a rabid boar than let a Leanhaun lay his lips on me." Dark eyed
