"Mr. and Mrs. Schwartz, thank you for coming. We're honored by your presence and I know Zara is happy to have you here." August offers the enchanted mortals gently. "This is my wife, Coradel." and yes, he greets others as well and applauds the honorees... with a special, glowing smile for one of them.

And yes, the Schwartz's seemed stunned at the couple, perhaps even more so since, while a good-looking boy, they've never seen August in his Sidhe glory before and they've shared a meal with him!

(No wonder Zara had a crush, nu?)

Jacob has vanished behind Miriam.

Coradel has laughed, surprised and pleased, at Siv's response. "Certainly not! Good hunting to you!" Then August has called her away to meet the Schwartzes. "You should know, I'm not sure what we'd do with out Zara's contributions to our library and...well...to our lives. She is wonderful."

August nods in agreement.

"Grand meeting you" Siv watcches Coradel go, the slow sublte move of her hips ... the way she flows... Oh dear. I need to stop staring or I'll become quite bi or at the least get a girl crush. She turns to gaze upon Leonora, then in another corner of the room Sparrow Oh for the love of lilght it's not safe to be hetero A blush and a bit of a laugh

The S chwartzs are quickly speechless.

Coradel smiles to them. "You should also know how much she loves you. She has mentioned you to me, and far more often to August, I believe. You are her treasures. May you never forget that."

They nod, eyes wide. The Himmlefarbs are less overwhelmed; the nockers are on the verge of fisticuffs over whether or not one can upholster a chandelier.

Jacob hides behind Miriam but does peek out. There are places to get into here... and that always intrigues.

And the Prom is starting.

And Zara descends, in her princess dress.

The Prom area is a labryinth of soft lights and rice paper walls... one couple could dance five feet from another and stll not SEE them.

There is an area where the troubadours sing from, most of the sound will there , allowing softer ears to avoid the brunt.

Zara watches the layout from above, and nervously smooths her flower-strewn skirt.

ANd at the bottom of the steps is Earl, dressed in a very nice tux with a matching purple cummerbund (Vashti may have tipped him off) and his eyes look up to her and...lock in awe. Zara has been a sidhe before, briefly. The look Earl gives the sluagh now is the same sort of rapt wonder that normally only sidhe get.

She drifts down the steps, a blush rising in her cheeks.

"You look like one of dusk's most perfect tears sliding down a face of the moon.. I.. I'm sorry I'm babbling" He extends his hand "I have a corsage"

A shy grey smile. "Aye? Thou hast made a study of it. But I think the maze is several steps above a gymnasium..."

"Oh this?" a smile "This is a maze of dancing shadows we get to join... " Indeedd others are already going in, "May I?" Regarding the flower to place upon her, "You deserve a bouquet but this will have to do"

"I have all that I need, nu?"

He places it upon her deftly, puts a kiss on her cheek, and offers up his arm, "I hope one slightly odd boyfriend is included in that, but yes. I thought the graduation went well, didn't you?"

She slides her arm in with his and nods.

"It wasn't too much."

"I'm rather glad, you were wonderful, but I knew you would be. But every graduate was a story, I didn't intend for us to help them, but I think we did.. and that feels..good , you know? " And they glide into the maze

"It was nice, yes. And I;m glad there were others. made it... more real?"

"oh yes.... I pity anyone who tries to tell Uncle Emmit ..pardon, 'Professor' Emmit it wasn't real. What a showboat" a smile though

"He is. Good thing, let him draw the attention..."

"He might have intended that.... " Then... a song begins to play as the musicians unleash their talents....

Enjoy the Silence by Depeche Mode flows through the room, cover by a boggan a satyr and some other local talent

"I think the music is telling me to shush up and dance" Earl blushes and unless she objects, begins to move with her through the maze. Other figures can be seen Their silohettes telling stories of shy steps, bold strides, and gentle overtures, but you can't quite place who is who

Zara is content to dance, liking the darkness and the sense of privacy.

Coradel has continued to mingle with those who linger outside of the maze, whether they be graduates, family members and guests, or members of EarthRunes. She makes sure to praise Professor DeBuke most gratefully. "That was a wonderful ceremony."

August offers his hand to the massive troll grump. "Thank you for coming, sir."

"It was," he agrees, nodding, then shaking August's hand, "Well, I think this old modernist should get going. I will commend you both... for the use of this hold, the fine hosting, and more. August, that writing was beautiful"

Coradel beams as August is praised. "He's been working on it for weeks."

"it shows, This old horse is set in his ways, but I'm not as worried about certain young stallions kin to me and where they roam as I used to be. If I might suggest? You should do the prom thing yearly, maybe the graduation thing too... young people need a place to go to shine..."

"I think I'd love to do just that, especially seeing what a success this was. Can we count on you to be our Professor in the future?"

And shining might be the word for Zara. She is well aware that Earl suggested some of her favorite music to the troubadours.... and the mix of shadows and soft make it seem a bit like a dream for them to dance through. He can't take her eyes off her, and her worries are fading away.

August nods. "Thank you, sir."

"Well, I'd be their professor perhaps. Something to consider. You two go on, music's playing, night's young."

Indeed, through the ceremony and into the song and shadows? Earl's white witch glows like the moon, floating on air.

Coradel gives the troll a deep formal curtsy before moving away with August.
