Siv smiles, "Sorry to have intruded as you were asking her to the floor, Sir August. If ye like, I can keep your wife company"

"I know not if every dress... but.. oh, I see her hand in many. She has a gift."

"She does, " earl says "And I see a bit of pride in your eyes for her. Would you like to dance some more, or sit and talk? I can get us drinks"

"Oh, one more dance!"

"I, ah..." he blinks "... I suppose? I mean... " he looks at Coradel, who gives him an impish look and a prod forward. He sighs. "Miss, Siv ,isn't It? May I ask your indulgence to wait just a dance? Ms Danique, may I have this dance?" He bows.

"I'd be delighted" He takes her hands and they float further up still as the music starts.

Siv says "Well me mother warned me about smooth talking sidhe..." she says "So naturally I ignored her advice" A grin "Course, if it not offend your lady. Off ye two go."

"AH... yes..yes you may" Danique feels vaguely out of her self... this must be a dream within a dream, a knight almost princely asking her to dance. She curtsies with more skill this time and then...lets him lead

It seems it does -not- offend his lady, indeed.

A more recent song popular at some proms breaks out, not every post millenial is an 80s fan after all... and Stevi has fun taking lead

August positively -escorts- her yo the floor and they dance. He's not bad!

Danique's not good, stepping on his foot once "Oh my god, oh my god"

"It's ok, it's ok!" With a hop "I stepped on Leonora's feet all the time."

She calms and relaxes.

Earl and Zara continue to dance ,and sometimes catch snippets of conversation. a few parents might be fr ustrated they can't see through the paper maze to check on their kids or properly chaperone

to which some others might say 'working as intended'

"There, see?" A grin. "It is easier if you can relax, but I never could." He confesses.

Danique gives a nervous smile

but seems to relax again

Dancing abounds!

"It's ok to count. I always do." He whispers.

Okay, that makes her chuckle even as she blushes... the music shifts, going very old school...

someone has requested 'Earth Angel'

August bows to her and escorts her back to pick up Siv.

With a bow.

"Oh, I wonder if some of the parents are dancing?" A smile. "Mama likes this song."

Siv seems to be asking about House Fiona and then... she turns to see August and smiles, "Welcome back, Danique. Sir."

Earl grins, "See for yourself."

Outside the great paper ring, Aaron and Hannah sway back and forth together, her mama's head on her father's shoulder, a look of pure bliss on her face as they move like they were made to be dancing together slowly.

"Miss Siv, may I have this dance?"

"You may , sir." Siv says after Coradel gives the nod, and they go out.

A soft giggle - not mocking, but quite pleased to catch the pair of them sneaking.

"so That's where you get your rhythm," Earl says with a smile, "They look good together."

He escorts her, too and... well he is no Lump.

But then.... Lump is not here.

"Aye. I'm glad they're happy."

Bitter sweet for Siv, to have a charming fellow but not HER fellow, but she dances better than many for she is agile and sure footed and has a good timing. With his training in both dancing and fencing, August might realize she has had training of some sort in acrobatics.

and yes, fencing.

"Me too," earl says enviously, "That's ...kind of inspirational actually, all these years and they still melt well together"

"I hope your family is Well? Please give my fraternal greeting to Sir Franklyn."

"Aye. I want that."

"shall I say it's from the high recruitor of House Liam?" Siv raises a brow

"A.... What?"

Earl watches moving with her but eyes on Zara's family and a smile, "me too."

"Little things, nu? Almost thirty years, the two of them."

Siv laughs "Just a suspicion ...and a bit of nosing. "

"I don't, ah, understand but...."

"You seemed to be sizing us up," Siv says "I Have a source, who has another source, who says you are well respected by some liam higherups. Don't worry, wasn't my father."

He blinks. "Well, ah.... that's.... good to hear."
