"Hello? Clovis squirms "Shit."

Emma peers down. "Oh, this is a woodchuck and a half!"

Clovis, being about her age if a bit scraggly in his facial stubble looks up, raises a brow and goes in a deeper voice "Hey, hi there."

Kith aside, his attempt at a smolder is somewhat dimmed by being half submerged in the mudtrap.

Emma giggles.

"Not a woodchuck, but a frog!"

"you know what I"ve always admired about Pooka? It's your gentle kind and helpful nature... and in such a pretty package i might add" Clovis assures "Lil help?"

"Oui? You do seem in a bit of a pickle." She folds her hands and rests her chin atop them so she can look down in comfort. "Sounds to me like storytime..."

"Story time ? I... you know, I know an Eshu who is realllly good at this.. let me go get him " Clovis suggests "he'll spin a yarn that'll just wow you"

"Oh, are you sure you couldn't tell me a tale? One of the frog that fell in the puddle?"

"Heh.. well..." he clears his throat "No shit, there I was...wandering by this wonderful arboreal arrangement or so it done seem," Clovis goes on, "And there I saw this grand set up of , well, not sure if it was Mississippi Delight , Kentucky Blue boy, or something else... but it sure looked classy. Now, I am an admirer of herbology, and have been since I was knee high. But lo and behold, there were signs it had been plucked at by some fiend before...well, that wasn't right. So I thought I'd , you know, look over to make sure it was safe. Maybe take it some place more secure"

He grins "Well, if need be, like the song says 'gang a bong, get it on'"

He sighs as a chimerical two inch Beatle walks over him in the mud. Looks like Ringo.

Clovis tries a BIGGER grin hoping it works, "We all get a bit of an itch now and then?"

"Well, the only thing more at home in the mud than a frog is a copperbelly."

"Oh hey now, pretty lady don't be like that" Clovis says

"Soooo... this was your fine herb? Scarborough fair?"

"I might have helped myself to your stuff now and then before, i confess, you make fine weed. Very medicinal"

And when they have you in the mud, more the worse.

"Mmm. Medicine for what, poor dear?"

"I shouldn't say... it'll get me thrown in jail and they'll put Donnie somewhere else"

"That must be tres scary..."

"No shit it's scary, he's 11 years old for christ's sake, and the doctors have him on everything but the thing that helps you know? I mean... fuck the law" his charming folksy flirting has vanished "He's hurting. It helps right?"

Her ears and whiskers droop and she listens. "Oui, oui... your father,hm?"

"He's not kin to me, or I might have an easier time slipping it in.. just a dumb kid..bald as a cueball... I was scamming the hospital for hot nurses and medicinals ..cuz well, they got good shit too. Then I ended up hiding in a room and I hear a voice saying 'If this is a kidnapping, have YOU picked a poor target.' Cheeky little snot, huh?"

"Snot comes from the nose, not the cheek." Understanding tone.

"Yeah, well, he was kind of tubed up" A sigh "more wires in him than old radioshack"

"He's a mortal, you know? So the Escheat won't let me help him, he'll I'm not supposed ot help him.. .but your stuff, I wasn't joking about medicinal, normal weed isn't right for him"

"So, you saw this fine Louisiana Red, on enchanted grounds and thought..."

"Thought I'd give it a try.. .and damn it worked. Enchanted him... and his pain.. and he was grining and smiling... didn't CURE anything, but the relief in his eyes."

"So for the last two weeks or so I've been ah.." A sigh "Admiring your work"

"Well, the trench coat and hat doesn't look as good on me"

Footsteps, Oswald comes in, and then his eyes fall on the satyr in the mudpit and darken a bit "So ... you caught the thief. Okay scumball, no one steals from MY friend"

"Oh, My Oldest Friend!"

"A moment, oui?"

Oswald looks ready to rip the punk out of the mud and shake him, "Did this guy threaten or try to hurt you, Emma? " An undercurrent tone that indicates a satyr's muddy ass will be KICKED clean if he did.

"Hmm. Threaten? My virtue, maybe. Those eyebrows..."

"Right, I'll grab his left horn, you grab his right, w'ell make a wish " Oswald reaches for the satyr

"Whoa big guy" Clovis says "Please, I'm a lover not a fighter and the lady had a captive audience the entire time I swear"

She reaches to pat Oswald's arm. "Warlike Walder."

"Now! You were JUST about to tell me why you decided to burgle my mergles. Instead of, oh, I don't know... ask?"

"Thought you might say no... " Clovis says "Seeing as it might be breaking mortal AND Fae laws. He's a good kid."

"How does that break the escheat, precisely?" Head tilt.

"right of ignorance from repeated casual enchantment and a doctor might get curious" The satyr admits

She taps her chin, nodding.
