The Gwydion raises the glass in return, "now, if it can be said, what of this accident?"

Coradel sighs and drinks, and refills their glasses. "We were on the way home from minigolf. Silly little game, but fun. We re-woke a forgotten fae there, and were bringing him back here, when..." A huff of annoyance. "This damned eshu challenged me to a race. She was crafty, and we ended up in a crash."

"Oh, Coradel" Forgetting titles for a moment "Fiona rarely balk at challenges, that's true. is everyone okay?"

"We are, now. But...well, I'll admit, it was a very close thing. We were all injured, and Magnus...well...he underwent surgery, and they weren't sure for a while how it would go. And of course, we were all in that awful hospital." A sigh. "I hate to think of how much dross we've just burnt, getting us all out of there and erasing records and memories."

"I see now why Sir August was cautious about telling me much. Ignorance put at risk, dross burned- not Earth Runes shining moment. But this is still the hold that held against the Siege. And is most popular with the locals. If it were flawless, no one would trust the story of it"

"I am not proud of the situation, no, but I am very, very proud at how well the entire 'hold collaborated to respond. August and I have already discussed the letters of commendation that we'll be sending to the County and Duchy."

"I can deliver them if you like? " An offer

"I don't think they're quite finished yet...there are several August needs to pen...but if you don't mind waiting until tomorrow and enjoying our hospitality for a night, then I will indeed accept your offer to play courier."

"I accept. I need to talk to Delores anyway. "

"Yes, you mentioned. Would you like me to call her here?"

"No nothing formal needed. She did it as a personal request. I'll find her eventually. Tell me, is the hold still relatively Gwydionless?"

"It is, yes. In fact...hmm...have we any Falcons at the moment....?" Coradel nibbles on some fruit and cheese as she thinks.

"Well, we just can't seem to keep a good Gwydion around." She winks at the knight. "They get all heroic, and then they get too big for their britches and trade up. Of course, then they dive into bed with a bad-boy, and...well, you know the rest."

"I know, I know. And in truth I shouldn't be ashamed. Ther'es nothing dishonorable In my tryst. I just.." A head shake and a smile

"You're just not used to having a wonderfully sexy adventure?" Coradel suggests, refilling her glass.

"With a member of unseelie house? There are other falcons who would consider it a scandal"

A shrug. "Let them. You're braver and bolder than they."

"Oh yes, I understand Firebrand, Wolfsblood, and Shacklebreaker quiver in fear that I might show up seeking a duel" a roll of her eyes

Coradel gives her an amused look. "Well, if that duel were to take place in bed, you might see more than one of them waver."

"Gods. Coradel. Don't you know the greatest Gwydion warriors do not make love? They conquer their foes ...horizontally"

A laugh. "Well, now I have to consider Gwydions in a whole new light!"

"Good grief, that's not how that trolless did it, is it?"

A chuckle "Who? Baroness Brekke? I am quite sure it's good we have distance. no one at her lodge, or in arm's reach would dare presume to discuss her personal affairs"

Coradel waves an airy gesture. "Probably little to speak of, then." Then a wink.

"I should turn the tables and ask of your August … in such matters, but I'm afraid you might tell me"

"Let's just say that if the troll's Liam is anything like mine, she's doing very nicely for herself, indeed." All but a purr, and then she pops a grape in her mouth. "So, what other news do you bring? What word of your brother?"

"Good lord...a Liam paramour program. It almost sounds insidious." Then a sigh "My brother thrives, the trusted right hand of the Count, though the Countess likes him less. HE is a voice for many Unseelie 'the oppressed court' he says" She rolls her eyes.

"He always was a bit of a drama queen."

"Yes, and he eyed you most intently." She says "If it were not for Shalimar running interference, and August ...well, I imagine he'd like to think he would have gotten further. I am for one am glad he was denied. He thinks too much of himself"

"Mm. I considered it. Mostly on days that weren't going so well. Tell me...do you think he's all the lover that he thinks he is?" Bemused.

"He's my brother" she makes a face

"I'm not suggesting you'd have first-hand knowledge!"

"...though, honestly, I wouldn't judge you if you had, as long as you had fun doing so."

A LOOK, "Fiona." She shakes her head

Then she sighs "I do not seek rumors, but it seems more than one lady has been his lover, including ones that should know better. What that means of his prowess, I am not certain but it surely can't be his trustworthiness they admire"

"Or if they do, they are deluded," she agrees.

"Some women seem to seek out such lies. For a Gwydion, it's' not an option"
