August is healed and well... though, in the morning, when breakfast is served by the staff, he discovers his breakfast is less than ideal. The toast is half done, the eggs are runny.

With the concern of a teen, August powers through and finishes. Then he goes to check on the patients.

Which is odd, as Leonora is loving hers. SHe puts it down though and goes to greet him, "August!" Relief through her.

He embraces her. "Leonora."

And a kiss.

A kiss "I checked on Coradel, she's catching up with work, and a bit guilty feeling I think. Poor girl. IT could have happened to anyone..well, any Fiona."

"I should see her...." He gulps the rest of his food and stands.

"Of course. I am so sorry I wasn't... THERE last night, or 'here' but they had patrols and … I admit, I was a bit shaken so I got assigned it. Worked out okay. My cantrips really aren't the strong point for what I do- and I am Arcadian so going into the hospital would be more trouble for me than others" SHe wrinkles her nose then shrugs "As long as she's okay and so are you"

"Leonora... No, thank you. Thank you for taking care of everything that needed taking care of. I.... " He softens. "Thank you, Leonora."

"No problem" She gives a kiss on his cheek.

Then pats him to let him go.

August goes in search of his family.

The staff normally makes way for folks coming through. Yet he finds many of those cleaning and tending to chores in his way ,and not getting out of it as they continue to dust and more. It's almost as if they don't see him.

August is used do that.... he makes his way.

Seems a bit different somehow, ah well. He finds the door to the chambers where the baroness works, and finds it blocked by a thane. "Sir August. Did you have an appointment to see the Baroness?"

The thane has a list.

No.

*Confused*

"Okay, well, if you're not on the list I'll have to fit you in. " He glances over it "Mmmm, there's a 15 minute opening in two hours. Of course, if she has need of a scribe you'll be sent for"

"Should I put you down for that, Sir?" The thane asks

"Ahh...yes."

OOC BRB

He writes it down. That's ..odd. Normally it's a freer flowing court.

"I'm...pleased to wait." And he does.

((switching....))

Time passes, about an hour in fact, and then a boggan comes up and says something to the THane, he adjusts the list. The boggan walks off, and the thane says "Sir August? There's an early cancelation. If you like?"

"Please? Yes, thank you."

And he's let in.

Coradel sits on her throne, looking over a scroll. But there's not exactly a crowd in court....

Not much busier than any other day, indeed, the biggest concern has been dross and the stewardess is seeing to that

And Coradel is carefully reviewing an accounting of the amount of dross used, with a look of concern.

"Good morning." as he approaches.

Close to noon now...that delay

She looks up and smiles. "August. How are you feeling?"

"I'm fine." He assures her mildly. "You?"

"Better, especially knowing everybody got out safely. Of course, I'm out a car...."

He chuckles. "Just a thing. We can get another. I haven't seen Magnus yet, and I want to. Have you?"

"I saw him when he first got back. The brat pranked me," she says with amusement.

Inish says "If I may?"

"Yes, Inish?"

August grins boyishly, an echo (precho?) of his soul's son.

Innish says "Last report on the lad was Dame Claire was rooted next to him. To the point she is taking patrols on a different day. I think between Healer Emma and his wife, Sir Magnus is going to be fine"

"That's wonderful to hear... but I still want to visit him."
