Through the door, a spiral stair case and up up to the top. August is glad for his youth and years of long trails, otherwise he'd be winded when he got to the top. But to the top he does get... there's a watch tower, brazier ready to be lit, and a horn. A bored looking guard who nearly jumps out of his skin.. and yes, there's that bridge. August is not stopped as he moves along it...

August steps along carefully, mindful of the ice....

Taking it careful means sometime is lost...but he gets across and hears from inside the tower "Who ever is at the door?"

Somehow he doesn't think thee lady with in means HIM...but rather whoever is at the stairs

He can skirt around..w ait, one floor below, a window... he can see Caesar there at a door through the window. Knocking

"Caesar! No!" and to the window handy to him, he shouts "My Lady, wait! Please!"

Caesar stares up at him, and says "But I love her..." At least, that's what his mouth forms. He points to the ascot around his own neck//The Lady turns in surprise to the window and curtains open. She's a sidhe, of course she's beautiful Her eyes, made of amber and gold are striking, her brown hair has that carefully combed a thousand times look and she does have nice decolletage in that outfit, but most no, not the most beautiful woman ever.

"Greetings, sir? This is..unusual"

"Yes, my Lady, and I apologize. My friend is under an enchantment and you are its target. He is blameless; an arrow of Cupid, Thursday five nights past? Firnost, the gardens there? He saw you and... he cannot help himself. I have gathered the parts for a potion to remove it. Please... be gentle with him."

"Perhaps, if you were deep in the act of some creation, you might not hear him?"

"You're jesting?" She says

"About which part?" Clinging to the walkway and windowsill with a satyr below.

"That you are stalking me, to keep your friend from stalking me, because he has cupid's arrow wounds so I need to pretend to be deaf as well as blind? you.. do see how insane that sounds?"

the knocking caesar was doing turns into.. a tune?

"My Lady, I am terribly sorry. I might have gotten... caught up in events. Just... just know that my friend is not himself? And I am working on a way to help him. And... and... and do ... of course, your Ladyship will do as she finds best. Will you excuse me?" A pause. "He really is an excellent fellow. Caesar is."

Nice beat... August feels his worries and cares starting to fade.

Oh what was he doing? right right..helping his BUD!

"He, ah... he ... really is. A good guy. Caesar."

"I'm sure he is, but if you think he's dangerous right now maybe I should slip out where you're at?"

"He's not a danger. He's a gentleman, if common. " August assures, fingertips gripping stone.

"well, I suppose I... I don't realy know what to do now? ' She closes her eyes "I'm a baroness. I shall have to be decisive" She is lovely. August might wonder ...with his inhibitions dropping, things he wouldn't normally wonder

"I... I should go. My own lady wife... I should go." He hesitates. "He is a good man." Inanely "I will bring a curative potion as soon as I, ah, can."

"Dougal practicality... until I know more, evade. " She slips out the window carefully "You go onto your wife, sir. I will avoid...for time." she sighs and looks back, "though it is tempting" She bites her lip "but I fear he barks up the wrong tree, sir. Lads are fun to dance with, but ultimately I prefer mine own gender and if he seeks not just play but love in various forms? No no. " She blushes

Along the wall. "You, ah, you prefer ladies?" He blinks guilessly.

A blush "I think I'm being far too open as it is, sir, but yes... while I have.., as any dougal might, studied the ..craft of romance, and ..worked on that craft with men, it is always a better ah.. product, with another woman involved" oh yes her blush is lovely "I turned down a marriage proposal from a fellow Dougal, fine troll, because while a decent fellow, it seemed unfair to require a third lady just so I could...craft with him in that manner and truly excell"

"I think you should come with me." A soft breath. "I know someone you should, ah, meet."

"you want me to NOT meet your friend at first, then decide I should meet someone else. And I haven't even given you my name"

that said, she takes his hand and steadies herself "Oh my. I should mention that I only see chimerically and not that far"

"Baroness Gowdeen Nighthaven., House Dougal."Gently as he takes her hand. "My apologies. Sir August Truthbranch of House Liam. My soul's daughter, of the same House... may I introduce you? Or... to my friend Caesar Carollos below us?"

"I think we should avoid Caesar a bit longer sir, at least until you get him that potion. As for your daughter?" A lip turn torn between embarrasment and amusement "While I'll admit, smelting works best when there's a chance of actual heat, does she know you're matchmaking for her behind her back? " then another thought "And is she nice? I dated one woman, a knight, lovely to look at, a fine warrioress, but she was horrid to her subordinates"

A proud smile. "Come and know her better. I think she's wonderful." With knowledge of the source.

"Lead on, Sir knight" And August steals Gowdeen Nighthaven away with out a certain Satyr catching on..yet. August feels a bit more himself as he gets her out of the hold... and he starts to realize somethings.

one... he STILL wants to get to his wife SOON and tear her clothes off.

two... he did just matchmake for his daughter, or at least has set that in motion.

three... Caesar maybe PISSED if he finds out his 'love' was taken away by his friend.

four... crap, he owes the Count. Double Crap.he owes that Ailil Knight

Five.. he must get that potion to Caesar still... but AFTER he gets to his wife and tears her clothes off..with teeth if need be

August finds solace in prayer as he rushes the lady out/away.... delivering her to Derynwydd's door with a quick rap and rushed introduction, then away... and eventually -back- to the County seat....

...... (End Scene for August)

And so it is that Sparrow finds herself staring at a stranger, a lovely one to be sure, who her father hastily introduced ad then... dad just.. left

("Derynwydd, sorry, I have to.. your mother... I need... look, just... sorry, be a hostess for me? I ... excuse me....")

Sparrow watches August go, dumbfounded. "I... I feel I missed something here..." Her wings flick.

"Then we definitely have something in common" Gowdeen smiles "I'm sorry, this must seem a terribly improper imposition on my part, being brought to your door and then here I am staring. He hadn't told me you were so lovely. Please, let me ah, try to gather myself" a breath, and yes she has a nice inhale in that dress, "I am Baroness Gowdeen Nighthaven. It would appear I was the target of a satyr fellow's affections due to a cupid arrow event gone horribly amuck. Sir August came to stop him from ah, pleading his eternal troth to me or something...and is still working on getting a potion to cure him. I'm both hiding from the satyr, and making your acquaintance? " she stands at the door "May.. I come in? Or.. perhaps you come out and join me? I feel I owe you more than just babbling at your door" Despite the word 'babble' she seems to have poise. Though Sparrow might realize that the Dougal does admire her

Sparrow blushes prettily - indeed, even by her kith's standards, everything is pretty. "I am Deryn Truthbranch, of Liam. The regent here. Just... pardon, I am not quite certain what August wants, but do come in? Can I offer you a drink?"

"Deryn, lovely to meet you, and yes, please," She glides in "And I think primarily August wants to help his friend from being imprisoned of humiliated or what not. As for introducing us, I have a theory, but I'm hesitant to mention it for a couple of reasons."

"Oh, the cupid arrow? I had heard the boggans whispering. You are the object of his affection? I am sorry you are drawn into this, but I assure you, Caesar is a good fellow. He's my landlord, actually..."

"I think he'll be very embarrassed once this wears off."

Gowdeen covers her mouth, perhaps trying to not be seen as amused by the satyr's future troubles, "August mentioned he was nice too. Landlord? Mmm a Satyr in real estate. It takes all kinds. I almost went into Architecture after i was sained. Actually, I'm not that upset. this has been the most interesting thing to happen to me in some time. Yes, I'm the object of Caesar's affections. And it's good you speak well of him too, or I might be worried. "

"Well - oh! Maybe that's why? August is trying to help, obviously. Are you new to the area?"

"Maybe what's why? And, I've only been in Missouri period for a week or so actually. is your home in Jefferson City?"
