A very pensive August wakes on Thurday, alone, after a restless night. He eats a few bites of breakfast and goes to work.
In the chair, he jogs his leg, frowning, and watches the pool patrons. At lunch, he sits quietly, thoughtfully, with his co-workers. Throughout the day, he checks his phone. Once he restarts it. After work, he skips additional tasks and goes back to the manor.
August spends a stolen hour with sneklets, letting them crawl and climb on him blankly. So distant... but he tries. He's there.
A quick supper and he goes to the gardens.
And waits.
Past sunset.
Into the night.
Dawn.
He stirs under the tree, looking up sharply at the rath. The thane there anticipates (has been warned....) and regretfully shakes his head 'no'.
The young Sidhe knight stands and walks back to the mansion to face another day.
