"Kind of glad you didn't take it," He says sheepishly "You'd be good at it, but I'm selfish, I like actually being able to see my liege"

Delores chuckles at something

"I really think you would make a fine Countess one day Deryn. I mean, I think you'd be great at it now, but you've got other obligations and priorities that come first."

"And I like going to school... Delores? What's so funny?"

"i'm sorry, I just... it wasn't that long ago I was a MAID. And here I'm discussing policy and politics that might shape a Duchy."

"And aren't we lucky to have you? A year ago, I was homeless."

Coradel smiles at both of them....but doesn't comment.

"And a year ago - we didn't even know you." A smile for Cora.

Delores bows to both sidhe and siles at Colton, "Well, I'm blessed to have this life wwith fine people"

"Neither did I" she says quietly. "I wasn't yet here."

"And here we are now! A proper family, aren't we?"

Colton blushes

Her smile grows. "I love hearing you say that, Deryn. Yes...a proper family."

"Including kid brothers." She snags Colton and gives him a playful noogie.

"Argh" he says

"Which reminds me, Magnus has opinions about the Eiluned, I recall. I'm not sure if he's met any of the others."

Delores smiles widely, then coughs "Well, I have other duties to attend to, and if you want to call Magnus now might be a good time, Baroness Coradel"

'Might it? Is that more boggan-y insight, Delores?"

Colton ssays "Oh! My liege, we should go to the kennels. Ladybird will want to see you again, and also? I taught one of the dogs a trick I want to show you" He adds "if it's okay?"

Delores smiles "I have my sources"

"Well, I will take your advice, Delores. Deryn, Colton, please excuse me." A smile and she sweeps away down the corridor.

"Oh, Ladybird! See you, Cora..."

Delores bows and heads her own way, and Colton leads his liege to show how he's taught one of the dogs to play dead. A trick Sir Sergei doesn't see much use for, but allowed him to teach

"Oh, well done! You'll have to help me with Ladybird...."

"Well, she's still too young for that, but don't worry, she's a lab, they're SUPER easy to train compared to..." And... he'll talk for quite some time. Her squire does love animals
