Today Delores goes seeking out, not Coradel, though she certainly won't turn her aside, but Sparrow, aka the Chancellor, aka the Regent, aka Baroness Deryn.

Sparrow is in the garden, rapier in hand - practicing.

Colton is practicing as well nearby.

And the boggan comesup, breathing heavily, "Oh,Baroness Deryn, thank goodness."

"You need to sit in that crouch - lower your center.... Hello Delores"

"Right I, helllo Steward" He bows before resuming.

Delores says "Chancellior, I apologize for intruding. BUt it's regarding the ..Fiona Count? "

"What?"

"He's moved to a new hotel" She says "One in this very fief"

An eyebrow. "Interesting."

"Surely, a Fiona Baroness should offer him hospitality... can we get together a welcome?"

"That's what I was wondering. The Countess left this morning, after returning from the grand tour. Sir Gnaw was almost buried under antiques." Amused, "That means there is space for a new guest if you and the Baroness Coradel wish"

"I am sure Coradel would wish. It is only polite, after all"

"I think Baroness Coradel is by the stables" Colton says,

"Well, we can ask her then." She sheathes her rapier.

And to the stables they head

Coradel is murmuring softly to Samson as she brushes him down.

"My liege?" The steward speaks first, "Have you a moment?"

"Hm?" She looks up, and smiles at the small group. "Sure. What is it?" She goes back to brushing the horse.

Samson, once a miserably scared fellow, is now a very happy Stallion. Coradel has been every inch of a good owner that Chloe DuBois was not, and a diet of enchanted oats and more have turned him into a true fae steed. It is as if he could go to war with his lady at anytime, but appreciates these moments where he is tended to with a gentle hand most of all

"Well, the last Count has taken to this area. "

"I'm sorry? The last Count? Oh, you mean for the position....of course." She sets aside the brush and pats Samson a few times before setting him into his stall....there's no door on the stall, he's free to go as he wishes, but it is his space, and he's happy there. "Which one is this?"

"The Fiona. We thought, perhaps, to show him a proper welcome."

"You share a house, after all"

"Oh, good! Well, will he be coming here, or are we meeting him elsewhere? And...does he know he's being considered?"

"We should bring him here, don't you think? A warm fire, some wine..."

"We can certainly ask Vince and Jack about wine"

The last from the Steward

"I agree. Would you like me to come with to fetch him, or wait here to receive?"

"I'd like to come... but it is certainly best that you play the lead, and let me observe."

"Should we tell Sir August?"

"Absolutely."

"Hmm...I think he might see me as playing the lead more if I wait here. And yes, by all means, tell August."

"But if you'd like me along, I will trust your instincts."

"Ah! Yes." She grins and bows. "I shall be your messenger. I do have the wings, after all."

Colton considers "I should tell Sir August, but I think maybe I shouldn't go. If she's acting as your messaner my being a squire to the messaner might seem silly"

"Good point. And you can help prepare for him."

"That makes sense. I'll make haste, but not too much haste?"

the Squire nods and bows "off I go."

Delores says "Do you need me to stay and prepare? I suppose as Steward I should, but I would ffeel better if you two had someone"

She calls after Colton, "Make sure to tell Vince!"

"I thought I was going, and Cora was staying?"

"You have a full staff under you, Delores, and they are skilled...I can speak with them, they'll know what to do. Go with Deryn."

"Oh, well, my mistake." A nod "Very well" The Steward says

"Oh, and Jack can advise, as well."

"Well, I will shower and change and get things prepared. You'd best go."

She bows, and the two head off...

Coradel alerts the boggans, the troubadours, Bachdion, Jack, and Vince that a Fiona countess is incoming and that all should be prepared appropriately...and then she sees if she can find August and get a shower in, with or without him, before dressing.
