Slightly behind her, August grins.

"Pretty much. But it's not as official, and wasn't practiced here much, well, save by Shalimar. Then again he never needed high summer to have an excuse."

A bemused grin, and she sips a bit more of her drink.

"You brought them up." Murmured.

She gives him a look, then over the edge of her glass, says, "Maybe we'll make them...'Little Death' matches."

A puzzled look.

"Now that I want tickets too." Jack says in an easy blue collar way "Maybe I'll have the new guy handle the bar during that while I just spectate."

A look to Jack, grinning. "You want to translate?" The grin fades a bit when he mentions the new guy.

"I think he'll prefer the education from you, all due respect," He says with a smile

She turns back to August, and kisses his cheek. "'Little Death' is another name for orgasm, my love."

"So...'Little Death' match might be...quite the competition."

"Well, he'sa pooka I hear, so not like he probably gave it," Jack says "He's sure bought me a lot more free time. Bachdion and I even went carousing the other night."

"Did you?" she asks, a fond grin. "Whereabouts?"

"Oh he's got wayfare down so we could have gone anywhere but we stayed local. little coffee shop was having a book club meeting."

August looks up past his blush at the mention of a book club.

A blink. "That...was carousing?"

"You are aware that reciting can be done with the gift of pan yes?" He smiles

Her eyes widen. "No...I had no clue. I thought it was just music. So you two...enlivened the proceedings?"

The little glimmer of the gift catches her breath, and she shifts slightly on August's lap, leaning in the curve of his arm, warm against him where their bodies press together...and then a slow sigh as the gift passes. "Oh, lovely...."

"I don't use it lightly, but Bachdion is feeling his years now, and I wanted him to remember being a 'grump ' doesn't mean you're dead. ' he says "Good fellow, Bachdion."

A little frown. "Jack...if there's any way I can help him...I don't think he'll tell me. Will you? Can I count on you?"

"Now that's cheating" he says to her, "With the big eyes and so on." He looks at August, "She's a hard one to say no to about anything, isn't she?"

More water for August's glass as he seems to need to clear that throat

He takes a good drink. "Yes, she is."

"It's dangerous" He observes but with good humor, "Fine fine. If I think he needs help I'll let you know more or less. But it's normal. Satyrs are, well, grump dom shakes us more than some kiths. Sluagh seem to welcome it. Trolls wear it like a badge of quiet pride. Pooka almost seem wise, not that I'll admit it to them if I can help it, but we satyrs know that we're a 'wild' kith, and we miss wildering a great deal. It's not all down hill in a cliff, but even for the best of us we see a gradual slope. It's ..natural."

"Natural...but sad." A slight nod. "But I owe him. I owe him a great deal."

"He's a teacher, that won't change and hasn't. what's a teacher without a student? Just a know it all without a target to share their stuff with." A wink.

"I suppose...he needs a new student. But I hope he can find one and still stay here. I like having him around. Which...ah...reminds me." She looks to August. "Jack's new assistant...is somebody you and I have both known. From before."

"Hmmph?" He lowers his glass. "From before?"

"Oh, so it was you who vouched to Delores for him. Well, that's fine then" He nods

"No, I didn't vouch for him at first, but I will now," she says to Jack, then a nod to August. "Our lives before. He was there. Da Vinci, or Vince...does the name ring a bell? Lion pooka." A slight emphasis on that last point.
