The weather is chilly and dreary and damp in most of the region...but the the manor at EarthRunes and its environs shape that setting to its better advantage, evoking a sense of impassioned rendezvous, warm cloaks, and balconies overlooking lovely vistas, the pre-spring rain beating lively patterns on the leaves just beyond. Coradel, wrapped in a warm red brocade cloak, stands on one such balcony, awaiting August's arrival.

It is a wonder the chill and damp does not burn off as he comes through the rath, burning with joy and excitement. He nods to the guards there, almost as an afterthought, and moves with all intention towards the manor.

Coradel catches sight of him as he gets close, and smiles warmly, waving. He may see her, shadowed by the cloudy evening, but silhouetted by the warm lamplight of the room beyond her.

He does; she can tell by the sun-shine smile spreading across his face, and the way he breaks into a run for the door below her, backpack banging on his shoulders.

She laughs, and turns from the balcony, moving inside and out of sight.

Breathless, he rounds a corner and barrels along the corridor, in a bee-line.

She also enters the corridor at a run, but fortunately far enough away that they don't collide. She drops her cloak on the floor, the silvery dress she wears swirling at each step, and rushes into his arms, laughing as they spin together.

He grins like the top of his head is going to fall off. "Hi."

Slightly breathless; must have been the running.

"Hi!" She smiles, her hair falling in careless dishevelment. "You're here!"

He nods. "I wanted to at least make a dent in Arabic and Statistics, so I could get the easy stuff done here."

He lifts a hand to brush her hair back behind an ear, drinking in the sight of her.

Her eyes twinkle with amusement. "Give me those books and five minutes in the ring. They'll have dents."

He laughs softly. "I do have to be able to read them."

"Spoil sport." She smiles up at him, warm in his arms, and then more quietly that before, "Hi."

He dips his head to kiss her, as if suddenly remembering an appointment.

She meets the kiss with a soft, pleased sound. And lingers. It's a lengthy appointment.

He has not got his breath back when they, finally, part.

She nuzzles noses with him a moment. "You must be hungry. Supper will be soon, I am sure."

Gathering her a little closer, "I could eat." He admits.

One of the staff boggans is offering to relieve August of his backpack and coat, having already gathered up Coradel's cloak.

"Ah, oh, yes. Thank you." He struggles to keep Coradel where he is AND divest himself of his coat and bag.

She smiles, staying easily within arm's reach...she doesn't seem particularly motivated to move further from him.

His belongings disappear with the boggan down the corridor.

Free, he reaches for her hand. "Ok, so....."

"So." She agrees, her hand in his. "You look wonderful."

"I... oh, no. I mean, you look... " He leans back just enough to take in the silvery dress and smiles. "... amazing."

A pleased smile. "Thank you. Yes, I like this one." A step away, and a bit of a twist, to show how the dress flows and shimmers. Then she tugs his hand. "I want to show you what Deryn has had the children doing."

"Sure! Cool." He approves, and follows.

"You're kind of shimmery, too. Not just the dress." He notes as they walk.

"That's because you're here," she smiles, walking with him towards the room wherein crafts have happened.

He beams.

"Did that awful class get any easier by the end of the week?"

"Which one?" Dry

((Pause...pizza arrived))

"The one where you had to figure out one thing before you could figure out a second thing, but needed the second thing before you could figure out the first...?"

"Oh, Statistics." Glumly "No. It's not better. I'll figure it out, though. I brought my notes."

"Maybe...maybe somebody here might understand it? Somebody you could work with, get help from. Ah, here we are..." She leads him into a room and to tables bedecked with various fanciful creations....and lots of glitter.

Wry "I'm afraid to ask. Nockers might end up with an equation that blow something up, and the thought of asking a pooka...."

"Well, maybe a boggan, then? Or maybe an eshu?"

"Know any mathematically-minded ones?" Genuine curiousity.

"Well, I haven't exactly asked, but I can. Delores will probably have a notion. Hmm...I bet somebody in the area speaks Arabic, too."

"Well, it wouldn't hurt to get help if they are a native speaker." He agrees.

OOC Seriously? It's pizza. Throw the paper towels away and move on....?

August notices the location, and the decorations. "Awwww.... these are great!" He folds his hands behind his back and steps up for closer inspection.
