"Two kids." She frowns.

"That is not your fault." The Beaumayn says grimly

"First, tell me what you did...with...."

"They are in the room I used to have. They will be tended to." Soft.

She nods, then looks across the room to the eshu childling. A thoughtful moment, then a sigh. "We'll need to ask about their stories, for proper memorial. But not, I think, tonight."

"We were too late."

"It would be too much." He agrees. "Let them eat, sleep, and heal first, before opening that wound. And now, the same for you. Are you injured? Physically?"

"Oui, by days very likely. That is not your fault." Jennette says "it is the Shadow Court. they grow more monstrous every year even as they pretend to be for commoner rights and the like"

She shakes her head. "Not at all. Just grubby."

He leads her out of the room. "Then let's ungrub you."

Delores has kept her distance from Sir August and the Baroness Coradel... but is making sure they seem to be getting where she thinks they need to be with the cleaning and the rest and the food

"Yes, but...." she looks back over her shoulder to the room as he begins to lead her out.

"We have everything handled, Baroness" Delores bows

She rubs at her face and nods. "Monsters, yes. Monster did this."

"The toys, Delores. Make sure they have...something to hold onto as they sleep."

"...if they can sleep" she mutters.

"We'll come and check on them when you're ready." He assures.

Shalimar says "I'll rob a Toys R us"

Delores shoos Shalimar, then nods to the baroness

She smiles to Shallimar, then another glance back...then a sigh and she allows August to lead her back to their room.

Jennette rubs lightly at Sparrow's shoulders, trying to ease the tension "yes, they did. We mourn those we'vel ost, but they will return. We must focus on the living. They need us more. You should think of those you saved, and how you will be able to help them best if you care for yourself."

"Oh good lord, fine, the darn 'Basselope' can sleep with the kids. Lordy" Agincourt says/ "Yay, I adore winning" Leonora chimes then "You're not going to drop a boulder on me are you? "//"Mmph"

She nods, even if her wings tremble. "Right. And make sure they get all the choices they need. Freedom. After all of that, we must be very sure..."

Jennette nods, "Go to bed. I'll handle looking in on the children's omens and such. " A promise

"Thank you." A look over at the children around the fire, before she nods once. "Bath and bed, okay."

"And food, some will be brought to you"

"And food."

Reluctantly, Sparrow is shown out to bed... and others take up the duties to fuss over the childlings, each one given teddybears and dolls and stuffed animals

((Hell of a long game, though.))

An hour or so later, a PJ'd and robed August reappears and does indeed ensure that each childling has a toy or stuffed animal. If not, there are vehicles he can get to, and no doubt, a 24 hour Walmart he can suffer through.

Looks like shalimar and some others beat him to it.

August nods approval, and disappears back from whence he came.
