Colton charges forward raising his weapon "You dare! "

She holds up a staying hand. "No, Colton. Hold."

"We're friends. We will not harm you. I know, you must be scared."

That's when tthe goblin comes into view and fires again "I don't thinke're friends, bitch!" Jennete evokes the wyrd and catches the bullet on her shield. The goblin curses "Fargo! Stop bitching about your foot! Come on!" And a huge ogre (is there any other kind) Ambles into view "But da girl is close. Me smells her! She lay trap she..." His eyes narrow "BOOOMAN!"

The Goblin cackles "Forget the beaumayn, kill the winged witch! She's priority number two!"

"Well, at least PART of that was true. You must be scared." She draws her rapier.

And the battle is joined. Magnus cannot use an edged weapon, but his he can use a mace. Jennette moves along with her still providing some support for her flank . As for Colton, the boy slams the ground and seems to grow...thicker before joining in.

Sparrow might not be strong like her squire, but she more than makes up for that in speed - fast and flashing, her wings flexing to give perfect balance for long thrusts and sharp dodges, a dance of steel and feathers.

Sparrow has every advantage on the ogre. she was already quicker, but that wounded foot of his slows him down further. She dances, lances and dodges, avoiding his clumsy swaying. Jenette flannks and gets a knick in as well, but Sparrow finds spot in the armors and sinks deeper still

Where once there had been fear, hesitation - now there is determination, even more so with so many to protect. She does not give quarter to the ogre.

Bullets fly towards sparrow from the goblin, but Magnus is chanting "There is no spoon they told Neo, and this got into his head. He stopped getting hit by bullets- dodging them instead" And suddenly the bullets ssloooooww as they head towards Deryn. The Squire surges toward the goblin and smashes him hard!

"Thanks!" She manages to toss out, between a lunge and a leap.

She avoids the bullets and even uses the leap to get a high shot on the ogre. The wing tht was wounded hurts like the devil though as she does it. The ogre screams as its eye now has a hole in it

She hisses in pain, but keeps going. Little girl. Ogre. She cannot let him get the little girl. And she will push through the pain with monomaniacal focus to prevent that.

The ogre drops reverting to a big smelly man with a MAGA baseball cap on

...and she kicks him when he's down. A whirl to check on the goblin fight, dimly aware that Colton had attacked....

Colton knock the goblin hard!

And gets shot for his trouble

"Colton!" She bounds toward the little green jerk, sword first.

Colton flings his hand axe with all his might and sinks deep into the shoulder of the goblin. Sparrow manages to lance the arm that held the gun with her weapon.

Arm, and then sword to throat. "Yield."
