"It's fine. It is!" Her wings flare, feathers fluffed out. "I... enjoy your company very much."

"I'm glad of that," She reaches and dares to smooth a feather or two

Her expression softens, a small smile. "Thank you, for helping me."

"You're welcome, and your mother is right. Duets will sing a song of victory more certainly than a solo voice, no?"

"She might be. I think I might have some measure of Fiona recklessness..."

A hand on Jennette's cheek, feather-light. "But cooler heads."

A smile "A mix of both serves you well "She tilts slightly into it, "so, how do you wish to proceed?"

"Magnus is an investigator and magician. He might well be able to find her that way - I know your house has skilled seers, perhaps the two of you together? Find her, and then make a plan on how best to retrieve her."

"I am supposed to be with you, I thought?" Jennete looks to where the Fiona went

"You will be with me. But... I'm not going to just bust out onto the streets without a plan, a direction..."

"Then we best move quickly. Sir Magnus IS a Fiona, and he will likely want to leap off ahead"

"I mean to catch him, of course"

"Wise Star. I agree."

they head off and find Magnus arguing with Squire Colton "what do you mean you 'have to come with me'?"

The troll looks at him "My liege wants me along with you to find her stars. I don't disobey my liege"

"Brother! Colton!"

"Sis, did you sic this over eager squire on me??' Magnus looks at her

"Coradel wouldn't let me go thallain hunting."

'i know, she tried to stop me too," he says "Fortunately I'm not important. So.. uhm the squire?" Magnus asks again

"Colton is my squire, yes. And yes, he's helping."

"he's not my squire" Magnus reminds

"They're MY stars."

"I am an asset, Sir Magnus. " Colton insists, "And the Baroness wants eyes on the search"

Magnus sighs "Oh fine. Dandy. Just try not to mess with things too much eh?"

"Colton IS an asset. Smart. Knows the shadows."

"Yes, I suppose he might" Magnus concedes that "Come along then lad, unless there is something else, sister?"

"Cora conceded that I can help... if I have enough support. Lady jennette has agreed to aid us."

"Us?" He pauses "Soo... us is two duos or are you saying..." He lets it hang

"The four of us. Finding the star."

"You aren't going to pull rank on me are you?"

"Do I have to?"

"Hopefully not. " He looks her over, "Does mother know about this?"

"She just said she did" Colton reminds

"She agreed to it. I may have yelled a bit."

"How come that works for you and not for me?" Magnus grumbles "Come on. We're heading to the scene of the crime where Bachdion left off."

"Now?" Wings rustle, then a smile gleams. "Excellent."

"Yes now, trail might let off. Lady Jennette, I'm afraid you'll have to leave your horse behind. We're going by car." he motions for the other three to follow as he heads out of the hold.

"I wonder if I should start studying magic... well. I have a sword."

"Your sovereign is strong" Squire Colton reminds. They get to the car, which is nothing special but has room for all with space behind the back seat for Sparrow's wings to reach a bit if need be. Magnus starts up the car and drives.

It's a tight squeeze, and there's some bumping and blushing as Sparrow finds her space in the back.

Jennette blushes i she's brushed up again, clearly not minding if it happens.

Squire Colton rides shot gun and looks eager

Blushing and smiling, despite the mission.

Magnus has grown quite focused, driving along, while a smart phone reads off the name of amber alerts and the like

"Missing children searches by mortals?" Colton says// "I guess I have a bit of Liam in me. I recognize Mortals can be resourceful." Magnus says

"Cora said she was pre-chrysalis... and, well..."

"Understood, but if she has mortal parents, well, the police maybe on it. All the more reason to listen in on police scanners"

"Agreed. And mortals can't protect her from thallain..."

Colton looks sad "Poor kid"

The police scanners don't give any useful hits, and the missing children are too many to safely narrow it down.
