"...and the skeleton ring?" Taking advantage of the Madame's hopefully cheered mood to ask.

"Ah, self preseveration then? " A nod then "A bargain is a bargain... but I think there is something else. " A look at Sylvi "Ah, also honor maybe? Your honor , you are still a troll.. though one of a sly nature herself. I take the dross in the bargain. But for the pom poms... and for the fact that even when I am unloved you seek to be just to me. . I will give you something else. Something I was going to offer ealrier anyway." She says "This.. you will want." And she offers a vial "Breathe this in. It will not harm you. I swear it by moon and stars. it will take nothing"

Dagmar listens, as a Gwydion may.

True!

Sylvi shakes her head. "I don't trust you or your words, Madame Sly. It may not harm me, but I would know what it is."

"Is it a memory?" He whispers.

"it will answer the question in your head. Who were you, and who was that sidhe girl that you treat her with friends with... " And Madame Sly turns to Symon "Oh my boy , were I in need of an apprentice I would steal you away"

He bows his head to her a little in respect.

"She's not lying."

"If she even is a sidhe." He wonders, half to himself. "Someone got a cookie earlier."

A blink and her expression softens to something like temptation. Finally, a deep breath and a nod, and she accepts the vial. "Can I wait to use it? Or must it be used here?"

"Use it when you will" She says "But sooner is better"

A nod. "Thank you, Madame Sly." She claims the cookies as well and slips them into her backpack...and finally smiles. "Whew! Okay, then!"

Symon is still eyeing the skeleton ring, but will follow if they start heading out.

"the Skeleton ring.. pardon me boy.. I got distracted"

Dagmar's expression looks disgruntled - not angry, but quite ready to move on.

She says "The Ring allows a living person to appear dead, or a dead person to appear to be alive. They need not wear the ring. You could fake being a corpse and hope your enemies move on. You can turn a corpse to look like a sleeping man. And so on"

Now he looks interested... and tries to look uninterested. "What price?"

Sylvi looks like she's about ready to leave (checking that Flopsy is with her and doing a headcount of the group).

"Mm " Madame Sly says then eyes him "one thousand rat skulls."

A barely audible snort. "I seem to be a few hundred short. I don't suppose you'd take 3, and a Raccoon tail I made into a dusting wand?"

"I have some shark teeth, too. Shaft shark, very rare."

"SHAFT Shark? Oh my. ..." Mmm

He pulls a small bag out of his pocket, and shakes a few loose to show her. A D4 rolls out as well, he plucks that from his hand. "Sorry, those get everywhere."

"I'll take the D4 as well and you have bargain"

He considers this, and puts it back into his hand, and trades the skulls, dice and teeth. "It's a deal."

And the ring is handed over.

"We have bargain made. Go on, go on.." Madame Sly says "You are each of you..interesting young people"

Sylvi nods a thanks to the shopkeep and exits the store, waiting for the others to come out as well.

Symon looks pleased with his deal.

"Don't let your memory shot go stale." He whispers to Sylvi as he files past.

Flopsy by the way is on the ground and bouncing along. "Oh what an adventure I had. Come on, let's get out of here"

"We calling eighteen a good score?"

"That's a LOT of cookies."

"Unless someone wants to try to get more from the other squad. I'm tapped out on resources."

Sylvi takes a deep breath. "Listen, guys, sorry...I needed to play like I was offering something valuable, and I couldn't tell how much I was really worrying you all. I didn't mean to diss you."

Zane says "No big. I see what you were you doing."

"I think eighteen is a great score...and yeah, I don't have much more in funds, but if anybody else wants to spend a little time shopping for yourselves, I say go for it."

"I get it, but it was risky. And she better pay back your dross..."

Lucia says "I did want to shop a bit... but. ah.. is that the other motley?"

"Oh...." Sylvi turns to look. "Oh, boy, I hope they got some."

Dagmar looks. "Yo, give me the score and I'll guard it."

Clodagh is holding onto the pooka's arm.

Sylvi nods and hands over the cookies to Dagmar.

Then she gives an up-nod of greeting to the other group. "Success?"

The pooka says "I'm a German Shepherd Pooka now" The Horse pooka answers

"Furking okay I guess" The nocker says

Clodagh cranes her neck at the sound, "Yes. And we brought four cookies for you. Bargain is a bargain"

"You got the whole dozen? That's great!" Sylvi beams. "How can we compensate you for the four?"

Dagmar narrows her eyes, looking at the pooka.
