"Harrumph!"

Canon that has to be forced on others can often prove to be quite fragile when confronted with open defiance and disdain, this proves to be no different as a massive explosion rocks the side of the Harpy as the integrity of the canon erupts from the pressure of troll stubbornness!

The Harpy is forced to retreat, its side smoldering

Siv's eyes glimmer "We could take them," A sigh "Seize them for our own, but mission first I suppose."

"On the way back, sure!"

Vali observes Siv's glimmer, "Thyle first, I would advise, Captain."

Siv nods at both, "Aye, but Dagmar's right.. I see the Harpy again, we won't be so generous" And she gives new orders to resume, allowing the Harpy to get away.

The banner of Rivervale flutters over the Narwhal as they continue towards Thyle.

"You okay?" Jaymes asks Dagmar as they work

"Sure!"

A proud nod, they go back to work

as they close on their goal

If anything, Dagmar seems more than okay - fresh ar, a quest, family at her side...

She has never worked with her father before on a ship, not long term- but she has always enjoyed sharing such activities. They trade what they know almost wordlessly. Dagmar has learned much from Siv, and gives her father silent hints. Her father, on the other hand, knows how to scout from a distance and can read what shapes really mean so one doesn't confuse sharks for dolphins or the like. It thrills the critter loving Dagmar when she sees the dorsal fins of the latter

Indeed! She leans so far over, it's good thing she has a strong grip on the rope...

"Mmmph" ("No, you cannot have a pet dolphin")

The nearest Dolphin gets closest still as it leaps up out of the water, and the wet side of it catches the light and spreads almost rainbows along it's sleek flesh.

"Oh!" ("But Daaaaaaaad...")

"Ahem" ("We don't live near an ocean a lake in Rivervale will not cut it")

The Dolphins talk in their own tongue merrily. One can only wonder what they are saying on their side of things

((No, you may not have a pet troll!))

((But Moooooooooommmmm))

((She'd get all wrinkly then drown))

"Sigh"

The dolphins part, and if Dagmar lollygags a bit watching them, Cap Siv is not such a tyrant as fuss

"Look out, what holds to the North?" Siv shouts

"I think.. no, I know, Tis Thyle!" Jaymes Declares

"Woo!"

And that's when they see the longship approaching, no, not one, three

Jaymes declares them.

Vali says says 'Let's hope they recocngize the Rivervale Banner"

Siv says "Dagmar, bellow to them we're of Rivervale...your voice can be loud when you wish"

"HAIL THYLE, RIVERVALE GREETS YOU!" she thunders.

And a voice calls out "Rivervale? Well then! Follow us, we shall lead you past the teeth and throug the high reef!"

Siv beams and nods "Good work, Dame Dagmar!" And she motions to follow their path very precisely

She follows directions well, tacking the jib starboard,,,

and they weave in. Horns blare announcing the return of the three ships

"Welp." ("Guess they remember")

"Vali, break out the horn" Siv grins

and a huge ram horn looking thing is brought out. Vali gives it a blow!

It is a sound never heard in Thyle, and it is MIGHTY!

But anyone who has ever heard Frank blast his Semi's horn would recognize it.

Siv apparently equipped her ship with a horn that sounded like her dad's truck!

Dag grins at that.

The Island ahead looks sizable, huge...but it would have to be...the bay adorned with long ships and long houses nearby on the hills and shore. But not just that... in addition to the longhouses and lodges, there are great halls and temple like structures, not the temples of Christendom either. Giant sized logs and huge slabs of stone bigger than boulders are used for building materials, and they can see, even from here, over a dozen trolls on the shore! Some are practicing with axes and hammers.

"...Wow..."

With the Narwhal trumpeting their arrival, eyes turn.  And they see banners raised, not in challenge, but boast! 

Banners like a Black Wall! A red skull over a white hill. Another banner shows a golden eagle sitting on an equally golden Ash tree. Horns call back. But not of true challenge, just welcome!

"...D'ya think time goes faster or slower here? Or about the same?"

Her father mutters as he looks at the banners "Hrimthurs,   Cormoran,  Yggdrasil..." A nod "Good I still remember most of the banners of the Troll Clans."

Siv says "Varies... the Sea of ages is our biggest worry, can play with how old you are... I'm living proof of that. But time here in Thyle itself ? A bit slower I think.. we may not lose much time at all if we don't stay long"
