Vali stays near Siv, unable to help with the rigging or anything, leaving that to Dagmar and the ship''s natural talents. He must focus on his spell..and he gestures "That way"

"Right through the reefs" Siv says "Blast. This shall be tricky, but come on, Narwhal, me beauty, we'll surprise him yet"

Dag, of course, is a stolid sort - she can hold lines steady against the pull of wind and wave. She is more stubborn than the fickle sea!

Good thing too, the Narwhal can be ordered, but it works best with hands to help. And Dagmar's ability to hold lines steady when needed speeds the reaction time, even as the Ironhawk's eyes see a few glimpses of debris or reefs now and then to call warning.

Siv handles with eagerness, like playing games with a lover.

The sea and she work together, they also playfully challenge each other.

"Cap'n, you think you'll get your story?"

"Aye, by the time all is said and done I hope too. MIght be more drama and mystery than action, but we'll see eh?"

"It'll be fun!"

"Already is I think... " Siv says, "Mr. Vali, your vision, are they still undergoing repairs?"

"THe canon is still down" He assures

"Y'know, canon could work to our advantage, right? Good guys win, for love and honor!"

"It's a dangerous weapon to use, Dagmar. It can eventually narrow the definitions of love and honor too much..go from way to make a hole, to ending up constricting" Siv says "But it may have merit in small uses true. Perhaps we'll seize it from him."

"Well, love conquers all."

"No arguement from this Wnat to be Fiona" She says

"We're clear of the sharp reefs, good!"

"Why did he do this though, take this path?" Siv says "Open sea is no good for a wounded ship. Anyone chasing will gain on him. What on earth lays this way that would..."

And then...great snuggly plushy tentacles burst throug the water...

It is ancient, it is elder... it is cute to the point of madness!

Siv gasps "Don't look straight at it, tis Cuddlythulu!"

Eyebrow.

It is adorable...and for a moment, Dagmar feels the urge to leap into the ocean and HUG It!

And then Jaymes falls from the Crow's Nest as he tries to walk in air to give it a snuggle

"DAD!"

Well, she can try to catch him!

Dagmar takes a mighty bound and manages to keep her father from smashing into the deck.

Cuddlythulu chants in a voice so warm it almost has fuzzyiness you can feel "Pl'shy snugnafh Cuddlythulu R'see cutsey'nagl dawww"

Jaymes coos "daww" (It needs a hug)

"I said not to look directly!"

Siv says "Everyone else close their eyes, keep others from going over... I'll navigate past it"

Assuming Dagmar does not look, and holds her father fast, they break past it, as it cries out for love. And finally are beyond it's squishy elderness

Dag does not look - stubbornly holding Jaymes back.

Then Jaymes stiffens as he comes free of the Betwitchment.. he coughs and hurumphs ("No matter how much we do or do not remember, we don't tell Tove about this")

Grunt. ("But of course.")

"I take Bribes" Vali suggests.

"Hmmph" (Do you really want to poke the bear?)

Vali sighs "No fun."

"Back to your posts, please" Siv commands "if everyone is okay again. Vali, cast that spell again and let's find the bastard"

"Aye, Captain" Vali snaps to it

"Bartolomé Sharpedge is out there," Siv says, "And we must be close. He used Cuddlythulu to escape me, but he tasks me! I'll chase him round Hope Peak, and round the Horn or delights, and round the Nordic Maelstrom, and round perdition's flames before I give him up!"

"Aye!" It seems appropriate to chime in!

Siv smiles and gives chase.

Jaymes has returned to the look out, and calls out, "Captain, another island."

"And it appears to have a town" He says

"A free port then," Siv says

"See the Harpy at port?"

"Aye... looks like stationed at the shipwrights" He says

"Repairs, of course," Siv says "Well, we take our chances"
