#dreaming

The ship broke into the waters of the Dreaming like a titan peering from a pool, the bubble of air with it making the waters catch the rainbows of the mythical sun all around in its dome. The sea is gray, the sky golden.

"...whoa..."

As the passengers have grown, so has the Narwhal a little. After all, giants walk the deck here. Well, most of them. Up above, Ironhawk keeps look out. Her father. Here in the Dreaming, the oath that joins father and daughter is almost a trail of light of it's own.

Dagmar is happy, a light in her golden eyes as she mans her post.

Siv calls out orders to the ship itself, but every now and then to the others. She is behind the wheel, not just changed by the dreaming (as are they all) but by the sea. Her confidence and skill makes her as much home here as a master athlete might be in a stadium, or a general leading armies. "Crows Nest, keep an extra watch on Starboard, if ye please. Legal sharks have been known to cut these waters"

"Aye, Capt'n" Jaymes says

Vali, Vali is the second most acquainted with a ship. His eyes shine almost boyishly as he works his own tasks.

And then, Jaymes calls out "Captain, there's another ship to the Starboard"

Dagmar, when she looks that way, sees it, at first small but she can make out the sail. By the gods, Ironhawk does have of eyes. His description comes before she can make out the details but not much.

"White sails, but the banner be green and red!" He yells.

Siv curses, "Is the ship's figurehead akin to a harpy then?"

"Exactly so, Captain" he says

"Bartolomé Sharpedge" Siv says , eyes lighting up, "me olde enemy"

Dagmar can see the Harpy (For that is the ship's name) closing in...and more than that, a canon being loaded.

"CANNON!"

"Shit, give it your most stubborn glare, Dagmar!" A strange order. But she seems to mean it.

She shrugs and complies - and boy, is it a stubborn one, all eye-glint and jaw-jut.

As it fires not a ball of steel, but rather a burst of rules and behavior in a mass protocol effect.... why the canon is clear, they're to be boarded, either join Sharpedge's crew, or let him rob them easily, perhaps give up a few kisses and maybe swoon. That's how you're supposed to act with pirates!

For a moment, the sphere of energy ready to send them into the roles of canon, threaten to engulf but Dagmar GLARES, and it shatters and skiffs over the ship, mostly

"Good defense, Dagmar!" Siv yells

"Hmph!"

"Heads up, Crow's nest" As another one arcs HIGH "That one is yours"

Jaymes raises a brow, glares at the canonball and sneers his lip

the attack breaks like an ice cube on a drop onto cement

"Bah" Jaymes says as it is deflected.

Well, destroyed.

"Mr. Vali, if ye please, our goal isn't to take them out, but make them reconsider... deploy the ice mines!" Siv yells

Vali gestures before the canon can reload and calls out, "This little ice and brine, I'm gonne let it mine! This little ice and brine, I'm gonna let it mine! Let it mine, let it mine, let it mind... hallalujah"

And icy spiky mines appear in the water, and float by the dozens towards the Harpy forcing it to turn hard, and also forming a baricade

"Miss Dagmar, Mister Jaymes... coordinate your disdain on the canon from here while it's exposing the flank!" Siv yells

"Mmph" Jaymes says!
