Let me guess, she dropped to the ground that happened to be over a landmine?

BIC: Down they go and...she trips over a tree root..the Tree yells "OW! WATCH It BItCH!"

And the winged Ape grunts and flies down

"Fuck." She sums up succinctly and motions the others to stay hidden as she low-crawls away a short distance, leading the monkey away.

Once clear, she stands up, challenging it.

The winged Ape streaks closer and gains "Halt! Surrender!"

"Blow me!" She challenges, making the 'come at me bro' gesture.

"Insolent.." He beats his chest and stabs with a spear

The redcap snarls back in defiance and side-steps to dodge, grabbing at the spear.

And she Siezes it, she's got hold, yanking works because he flies, but damn this gorilla is strong..surprise allows her to pull it free ,but only barely

that said, without a weapon he looks alarmed. He backhands her hard!

She takes the slap, and looks back at the ape slowly, with deadly eyes.... she grins, bleeding....

... and uses the butt of the spear to drive into his guts before she reverses it.

the ape cries out as she shoves the spear through it's belly and out its back side! It may not be dead but it sure is dying.

A blink at how easy it was, but she reverses the spear as planned and delivers a coup de grace before sneaking as best she can back to the others.

It goes down, dead. She's faced tougher foes, then again that taking the spear seemed to throw it off... she can't count on the others being that easy if more come. And it's yell?

She finds Toto and Grandfather Klok, Toto is the one who speaks "You killed one? Nice! But face it, they're going to be on high alert when he doesn't return"

"Let's move." She heads out, keeping the spear ready. "So what, we bonk a few over the head and steal their uniforms?"

"They-tick might notice the tock-lack of wings" Klok says quite seriously

Toto rolls his eyes, "This way... there should be a break in their pattern of patrols with him gone... if I'm right 'he sniffs the air... "just follow"

And it seems like they avoid much for the longest time... she can hear a stream.

Alexis nods and follows the dog. Commoner meritocracy, damn it.

The sound of the stream gets closer, and toto picks a shallow part and skips it to throw off scents. Then he pauses (and paweses!) and sniffs the air once more, 'Gorilla ahead, but.. I think I hear crying. Odd."

Alexis splashes through the water. "This is your idea? Wet ankles to throw them off?" She peers ahead, looking for the ape.

"It's one idea," he snorts "have a better one?"

"No." She admits without shame, pushing forward with her spear at the ready.

"So, do you want oth towards the crying and ape? or to bypass?"

She scowls, thinking.

"Well. Crying might mean someone's unhappy, and this close to that dump, could mean someone's not happy 'bout being here, or -who- is here. So maybe someone who'd have intel or supplies they'd give us?"

"Fine, but let's try to sneak this time, eh?" Toto gives a canine smirk

They come across a great blubbering ape weaping into his hands, and..it looks like it's wings have been torn off, only two nubs where wings were.

Alexis rolls her eyes.

She looks at the others.

Klok shrugs. Toto whispers "He might know something..he's clearly on the outs"

"You want to ask or shall I?" She sneers.
