Adam explains how a ride-along with Nab works. "..... and she's done it to me, and it was fun. No harm done."

"I don't know.. it's not that I don't trust nab, but we eshu are big on freedom"

"Oh, I understand completely. I was really hesitant too, at first. Now? She can jump in anytime." He winks at the imp.

"How about I think about it" Alanza says "Though, maybe we could go dancing and she could be a passenger to that?"

"Nab?"

"I'd love to dance " Nab says

"Well, ok." Adam nods. "Let's do it."

"Great" She says

And then the next class is up

There was a moment of respite, a brief time when he was not shackled..... and then the bell. He takes a breath and pushes up off the ground, trudging in.

TRUDGE

"Welcome to music class..."

Adam closes his eyes, and waits for it.

He does not know the teacher

It's not Piper?

He opens one eye and risks a look.

A clurichaun , almost round as a boggan, greets them, he smiles "I'm Mister O'Blurns. Now there's another music teacher and she's wonderful, but we've sapped her life force with the childlings so I'm here to take up the slack a bit. Besides I think she's in Paris today learning how American Jazz affected that city. Now you'll notice your standard band instruements, Clarinets, Trombones, trumpets, Glockenspeils, the usual..."

"I can see the joy in your eyes" He says

Adam sits up and back, lounging slightly and waiting for the class to be over.

The Clurichan notes the look and says "I'm telling you if you don't pick one, you'll get stuck with the tuba"

"We have to pick an instrument? For what?"

"to learn how to play it, of course" he says

"PLAY an instrument??" This is clearly a foreign idea, and probably filled with bad habits and weird ideologies.

"You know, toot, strum, tap, etc" He says

"Finger?" Nab offers another word

"Or finger" The teacher says

(snerk)

Adam turns it into a throat-clear. "I don't play anything. Well, used to play basketball but... not music."

"Well, that's why it's called an Education, isn't it?" The teacher smiles . Others are already grabbing ... oh there goes the last clarinet

"Shit....." Adam jumps up and scrambles for .... whatever looks easiest. Nab either holds on tight or waits at the desk.

There has to be SOMETHING.....

Dirk looks trapped . They didn't wanr him about this.

Adam might not be... overgentle as he fights his way to an instrument he can do. Like a triangle.

His options appear to be a Chello, or a Snare Drum!

DRUM!

Adam grabs it and heads back to his seat.

A glance at Nab, and he settles.

Nab whispers "YOu always hit the right tempo for us"

He gives her a little grin.

Dirk sighs at his own instrument. He shrugs. No doubt the Doctor Lee will back him up and yank him out of this. After all... not like a sensible guy like him is oging to expect Dirk to play the Chello

"Pound you like a drum...." he whispers back.

Nab glimmers warmly

Adam smiles for her. Just a little, but real. Loving.

Adam keeps a hand on his drum; no one's going to take it from him! And lounges back to listen to... well, whatever.

Actually it goes ak..and pretty smoothing...
