Earlier.. at the farm...

CC turns to see Emerson "Where have you been? Not with June, I was just talking to her"

"Terribly sorry, my dear! I got a bit lost. Can you help me?" With a charming twinkle.

CC moves to his side, and kens him even as she puts a hand on his forehead in concern, "Mmm "

She gets an eyebrow.

She then takes his arm and guides him away and talks quietly "Now, what kind of help do you need?" Lower voice "And what trouble are you tempted to get into?"

"Trouble found me!" He protests innocently. "In the form of Miss Sylvi of Rivervale. She was here, saw me."

"Oh you're kidding me" she says "Emerson, are you pulling my hairy but still feminine leg?"

"Mmm.... as much as the thought of touching your leg delights me, I am not." Sheepishly.

"What's she doing here?" Surprised "I mean, I suppose the lodges are allies but still"

"She was met, as I was leaving, by what I assume was a young DeBuke boy. Some tension there."

"Interesting... " She says "i'm surprised you didn't snoop more, or..did you?" Brow , non judgmental brow, but brow

"I did not." A sigh. "I was, perhaps, rattled at being spotted."

"That means the young lady might find her visits here curtailed.. IF her parents or Chief at Rivervale hear about it"

"If?" Eyebrow.

"If i were a wilder girl and wise enough to realize telling certain authority figures about the encounter would limit me? Even for my own good? I probably..wouldn't tell"

"Troll. " he points out.

"True. But Wilder too. Mmm wonder if she's unseelie?"

He shakes his head. "I didn't think to look. Hmm..." thinking, remembering. "Their energy..... awkward, I think. Attraction?"

"Possible... but she's dating that COlton fellow"

"An affair?" Eyebrow. "Delicious...."

"Ah. Not everything is about sex, dear, but there are ways to learn. We can't possibly scry, not past htes wards, but we can pry.I can talk to the boy see how he's doing?"

He nods. "Might I observe it?"

"Of course," She says

He nods. "Silent partner. Well." He sighs. "Asuming the worst scenario, Rivervale will know we are connected here."

" I think they may already do." She sighs "Caesar is larger than life. And he talks"

"It is June I am concerned about. The other ladies are well away."

"June isn't likely to move dear," A sigh "Any 'magic' we used, the mountain would sense"

"I was not necessarily suggesting that. Just puzzling over.... Ah. There it is. Hm." Thinking.

"Oh?" watching the wheels work

"I believe Rivervale objects to -me.- You are a collateral risk. If you were to visit here alone...."

"mm it would increase the odds, but I do know you hate missing out." SHe takes his hand

A smile. "A small sacrifice if it means you will see this set of children."

"Ahem, would this also be a chance you're trying not to get attached?" A brow

"Perish the thought!"

"Well see." She says dubiously

He kisses her.

And that shushes her save for a happy sound

A chuckle as they part. "I do wish I could see their faves, if she tells them."

"Oh my... yes, no doubt they'll think it's all part of some diabolical plan"

((Faces))

"It Is! To het you grandchildren. "

"are you saying my grand children will be diabolical, or is that just wishful thinking?"

"Just that the children will make you happy. I have largely given up diabolical plans."

"I know, but your brilliance remains undimmed" She says proudly.

"Psssht. Shall we look for June?"

"Oh I can take you right to her, come on" She guides him.

They come to a bench where June sits , snapping string beans and putting them into a bowl. It's a task she can do sitting down. And the stubborn redhead insists on working. "Oh, CC, thought you and Emerson had left. I haven't delivered in the last ten minutes since you left me"

"Ah, my dear, I wanted to at least sit with you a moment. You are well, I hope?"

"I am fine, just getting ready to brain the next person, family or not, who tries to great me like an invalid" She says. Looks like the others have been making a fuss too. "Women have had children since before history began, I can work in my last month"
