The Nocker Kinian heads outside and says to Mara "Hey? That the FURK?"

Jessica nods but her gaze keeps straying back to the woman's tattoos.

"You like huh?" SHe nods "Yeah, the X did the old house symbol on the shoulder, now, if you want a bit more orgiinal, I'd have to show you my ass. "

Clem chokes a bit

And Jess purples.

"Hey! This yours?"

"I think that's ok. Um. He seems... very talented."

"It's furkin' genius..."

"My brother made it..." a pause "You didn't touch it did you? " But he softens 'Yeahl, he was a prick but damn he was a genius"

"Well, if I knew where he was these days I'd hook you up" Lacey D says

"I Did Not Touch. I wanna..."

"Well, don't. I can't fix it if it goes kaboom" he says

"The battery charges when it runs, yeah? That drives the effect..."

Jessica's blush intensifies. "Um. Thank you." Rock steady voice, though. "Maybe I can keep an eye out for him myself. What did you say his name is?"

"Yeah, if you tangle with it it can give a taser level shock, but it also drains..." The kinian says expclaining excitedly

"Duff," Lacey D says "But as he had a lot Tattoos all over HIS body, I always nick named him 'The Illustrated WHAM'" Fond memory

"Yeah, bet it's a bitch too recover from that..."

"he was a nocker...." The Kinain says "His name was Charlie but everyone called him Cozmo. I'm Turbo." He looks a bit less distrustful "It can be a pain to recharge, but if you get a slope and want to ride it down... it helps."

"I was kin until just six months ago, but lots of true in my family. Even with a ton of cousins... man, brothers, yeah? Can't imagine losing Bix."

"No no..just felt like you were about to challenge me to an arm wrestle. Spare you the trouble, I'd lose" A grin from her "Hey, Clem" She looks over "This helps pay back some of the healing you don't charge for. right?"

"It does" Lacey D says

"Not shit? I thought they were all true blue or just off blue kinian," he says surprised then ponders "What the hell is that even like? Sothea.. I mean, trolls all around you all the time?"

And he joins her in cussing. He may not be a 'true' nocker, but his blood is strong, his tongue sharp and he clearly was raised as one

"Right?"

"Where's the pride in bettering things, and in bettering things, the world?" Turbo shakes his head.

Unaware her family are being compared to the Amish (not that she would find it a GREAT insult), Clem says "Ready to go Jessica or want to look around a bit more?"

"If there's something else to look around at, let's do that. Otherwise, I can head back."

"They want to do things in the most inefficient ways possible. Because tradition."

"Well, there are other people here but I don't know if they fit your needs" Clem says "But then , it's kind of vague what you want."

"I can try to clarify in the car, if you like."

Outside, Turbo nods "Yeah, do not envy you that. I would go insane. What happened to higher faster farther?"

Clem nods "Sure, I can pass things onto Lacey D later for you and she'll know what to look for. Done with your RC or you want another?"

"I'm working on it! CLem says there's this place in Mexico making spaceships."

"What? where in Mexico?" Turbo says

"Tiajuana"

"No, I'm good." Truth to tell, she didn't drink much of the soda at all.

"Huh.. you think they take kinian?" Turbo asks.

Clem nods "Well, then I guess we can go. Smoke seems nice"
