A gasp and stagger for Adam. He.. he's pretty sure he just tasted the rainbow, not skittles, the actual damn rainbow! His memories are... kind of wobbly. He remembers someone grabbing and keeping him from falling into a giant pile of girls , and then when he was saved, the girls turned into a pile of teeth snarling for his blood.

"OH SHIT....." Not loud, but with great feeling.... he staggers a few feet away, and shivers.

"And that was with protection," Zane says reassuring.

"Who the hell is it?" A voice snaps, scowling ogre of a troll , better looking than Olgar but not as friendly comes up

"Zane and Adam, sir. I got permission to bring him?" Zane reminds "Chief Clem said!"

"Mmmph"

Adam is not ready for company. He's trying to .... deal.

But he horks himself up.

"what... I don't... ok... ok... yeah...." Wobbly.

"Escheat applies here, stranger," Murray says to Adam "I am storm. If I sense you are a threat, I can and will deal with you. So be on best behavior. Don't steal anything. Don't betray our secrets. And don't endanger anyone. Do you understand?"

Adam frowns. "What? Yeah, yeah, I don't tell Fae secrets. Got it."

"Good." Murrary turns and leaves them.

Zane pats his friend's back "You okay? Storm Murray's not.. well, he's not nice"

"DUDE."

"I know, rite? It's wild."

"And these shoes do that???"

He stares at his feet.

"Well, they LET You do that, yes. Dude, mortals have sometimes been known to go crazy without something to protect them"

"Keep these on." Almost repeating something he knows.

The weird thing is, behind them is a footbridge going across water. Around them, like trees, and before them a farm. He almost expects to look over the bridge and see New Jersey, but he doesn't

"Let's go on in, my friend"

Adam, distracted by the different views, follows absently.

It's a brisk 39 degrees, mostly cloudy. But even in this temperature, he can see tall girls and boys, men and women, working at baling hay for animals, and dealing what can be harvested in winter.

"Fuck it's cold...."

"Like New Jersey's warm and fuzzy" But he smiles "Let's go inside though " He gestures towards the large farmhouse "Mind you, there's a lot to ssee here. "

"Yeah? So Sally Mae's from here?"

"Yup. " he says and lowers his voice "Though there are some hot chicks closer to our age she's probably still the hottest"

"Hell yeah. She's.... " A sigh.

"A guy can dream, right?"

"Dude, If she could just be open minded enough to realize what a younger man could do for her, to her? I would be saying yodelahhee right with you, but that tall glass of water has some hang ups about our age"

"Maybe you'll have more luck than I did. Kenna was all ready to help me by utilizing her primal inner goddess, and then the Chief Goat blocked me"

"Yeah.... wait, what?"

"Pardon, satyr blocked?" He says to clarify

"Okay....." He doesn't understand but ...... "Okay."

"Lead on?"

As they head to the farmhouse, Adam notices some girls, some true trolls, most kinian kinda looking their way without looking RIGHT their way. Girls, they'd rather lose a tooth than get caught checking a guy out some days.

Zane whispers "Most of the folks here are related by blood. As you can guess, that means you, my friend, are one of the only unrelated guys they've seen at this locale t hat's close to their own age" A smile "me too."

He grins at Zane and steps out confidantly.

One girl says "You two must be freezing. Best get inside where i'ts warm." Nevermind that they were heading there and about to open the door.

"Ugh. Thank you, ladies." A nod. "Very much."

Light smiles, and at least one giggle from them.

And into the farmhold they go.
