"When I spotted the boggan with her when I scryed.... I.. well, that alone would not have... but when the boggan tried to get Siv's name, while she was disguised..."

"I went to the Baroness, to pass on warning."

"And the baroness got warning to her daughter somehow" He suddenly hurumphs "I suspect Clem knew about this. Disguised you say?"

She nods. "Had she not been the target of my cantrip, I would not have recognized her. Likely Clem's work, there."

"You saw her in this scrying?" Brows shoot up

"Aye. Not easily, and no sound..."

"Oddly, when I switched my target to the boggan... I could not see Siv at all."

"Not easily..." He chuckles... "Not... " A deeper belly laugh bubbles out.

"...Emmitt?"

He holds up his hand to say 'give me a minute' with gestures as he is too busy laughing to say it. He turns his head, not embarrassed by his laughter, but so she does not get the worst of the volume of it.

Zara watches, befuddled.

Finally he recovers, "Zara, darling... you are a gem and if ever I had reason to.. .I am fit to burst with pride. If I could I'd hand you that diploma all over again. " Noting her continued confusion, he says "Zara, I can't see Siv even a little"

"Well, she's hard..."

"And I do not think I could read her fate... but tattletale is not fate, nu?"

"Nu" He agrees still smiling "And no need to make me feel better. I'm as proud as a white washed pig right now"

Zara blushes.

"I suppose if I go on and on about my student among some peers, even if I don't name you, you'll be mortified?"

"Well... Mama kvells, and I cannot stop it. It makes her happy..."

"You needn't say my name?"

"I haven't yet" he states

"Well, not truly anyway. We give our students usenames for conversations about them"

"...Should I ask? Oh, I must ask..."

"Mmm normally we don't tell our students that... but given you already denied yourself once.." He eyes the bag of ashes

"Good. Sorry about the joke. But theree's SOME truth to it. The oTHER student I'm teaching naming right now I call 'Andpeggy'"

"I need you learning from me, not each other. Not yet anyway" He says

"Does she know about me?"

"He or she.." he corrects

"Do they?"

"They know I have another student"

"Do they wonder about me?"

"Lil bit" He says

"Have they asked to meet me?"

"Not that I recall." He says "is this really so important?"

"Who taught you?"

He tilts his head at that, "Well, that's a curious notion to ask"

"I don't think it is odd to be curious."

"I had more than one mentor in my life time" He answers
