Zara shrugs. "It was necessary."

"Siv had good intentions for holding it - a desire to protect her family. But good intentions are not enough."

"No" he says with a sigh "Great evil can be done with good intentions" For a moment he seems wistful

She sighs and nods. "Aye."

Then he smiles "But you did the right thing.. now, shall we see what we can learn? "

"I am curious, yes. Janice is a better Namer than I, but not you!"

He tosses the paper up in the air "Names of Truth once adorned, upon this paper consequence scorned, listed listed were the names... fell or good not who we blame... secrets now path reveal... to show us the one who ambition wrote! A peek a peer, to know.. SO mote!"

Zara smiles at the bunk

And images form and twist and turn...

"And the omen did reveal to me, who taught Janice such calligraphy" Another bunk on top of the bunk..controling the omen through agury?

A rune appears... in the ash... a very specific one. One no other sorcerer uses. This one seems a circle of sorts, a world symbol perhaps ,but the jagged line through it indicates ashes

And the old grump's mouth falls open

"Emmitt?"

"That shouldn't be possible he's.. he's trapped" Emmit stares as if he doesn't hear her and is more trying to make sense of it

Zara mimes holding a monocle to her eye and "reads" the symbol.

A name forms, not a true name... Stenhouse

"Zara, be careful..."

"You know him."

ANd for a moment she feels tempted to step into to the rune, to let the rune her as she sees it...to be gloriously wondrously seen. Why has she been afraid of being noticed? Let him behold and ...

She snaps out of it after having taken a step closer

And she feels her mentor put a hand on her shoulder and letting the ashes fall "Yes. I know him."

A shudder and a hiss.

"Apologies, pupil, if I had realized he was Janice's tutor, I would have better prepared you"

"WHo is this? He is imprisoned, or should be?"

"He should be" A grunt

"Zara... thank you for bringing this here. I think da'an may have had a hand in it. Through you I learned something he would not want known and would have shielded against. Through you, that was worked around. No more lessons for today. I have people I need to call"

She bites on her lower lip and nods.

"Stenhouse" He mutters "Free... how... doesn't matter how.. have to tell the others.." And he walks off, leaving her there

leaving her with more questions that she is sure, at least today, she will NOT have the answers to.
