"It's because I was born ..." siv almost says wrong then "under unusual circumstances"

"Putting it mildly. Now, we're talking Leanhaun more than balor I thought? or are you afraid they're teaming up?" A look at Frank.

Her father nods again.

"Worst case scenario, they're teaming up. I don't think it's something we should discount."

Another deep sigh. "Oh, Should probably mention Rivervale went to the aid of a noble hold in Jefferson City, Missouri a year or so ago. The Fiona baroness was under attack by a Leanhuan who'd thought to be named baron instead of her, from what I understand. So that's probably in the mix as well."

"Damn Frank, you're little lodge has managed to pick fights with Leanhaun repeatedly... and a bit of Balor besides. It maybe personal for her, but I'm guessing she's got her House's full support."

"Little lodge?" Siv says a bit huffy

Frank nods grimly, resigned.

"Damn." He stands and paces away.

"No offense meant, Siv" Mountain Emmit smiles just a bit at her indignation, then sobers "Well, maybe not FULL house. Frank, anyway you can get more dirt on this woman? She seems to know a lot moe about you folks than you folks know about her."

Frank is silent a while, looking off into the corn and woods. "We can try. Brekke's talking to Vali."

"The Beaumayn iniative... Mmmph" He says "Not sure what to make of that House."

"If memory serves they have their own history with cold iron, or so it's rumored."

"Vali's dealt in Cold Iron?" Siv's jaw opens.

"Theree are..rumors" Emmit says "And yet they have come to our aid."

Frank shakes his head. "I don't think that for a second, Siv, and I'll thank you not to be loose with the idea."

"Yes, Da" She says "Just.. floored me to think about. "

Frank paces back and forth, then stops and sighs, shoulders slumping.

"mm well, I'm not a fan of any of the houses myself...but some of the new blood has taken a shine to those Liam fellows" wry humor at Frank. then "Onto the more serious matter.. this lady leanhaun...if you learn more about her, you can find better ways to counter. For nwo though, sounds like your lodge can handle anything she can dish out"

Frank nods. "Your mouth to Gods ears, Emmit."

"Course we can" Siv says "But... I'm thinking of..." Her eyes lift "She can't see me, not easy?"

"Hell, darling, I can't see you easy." Emmit says "And I've been scrying since before you were an itch in your dad's Fruit of the Looms"

"Oh, hello, Emmit......." In protest.

"Pardon my folksyiness, Frank." he looks at Siv "What i meant to say was 'yes you're very hard to scry'"

Siv smiles, "No problem. I got this then."

"Siv."

"Dad . She's got a spy, we need a spy to catch the spy. If you go doing it, you might get scried doing it..same wiht mom or anyone. That's why it should be me. I know someone who might help. They'll never see her coming"

"Like I said, I got this" Siv assures

"Details." Frank's tone does not encourage argument.

"I made a friend..well, we hit it off. SHe's really good under fire... and believes no stone should be unturned"

"And she's not affiliated with our lodge, doesn't live in our area."

Frank waits, implacable; he is a mountain, he can be patient. He waits for details.

"Oh.. you want moere than that? Dad.. the less you know, the less likely the sectet is to get out... she's helped before." A sheepish look "The vanishing birthday incident?"

He folds his arms across his chest, waiting.

Siv sighs "Fine.. she's a sluagh. And she's good at hiding, damn good, and skilled at magic."

Emmit's brow shoots up

..... waiting ......

"How many more details do you need?" Siv says "if I give you the NAME it kind of endangers the plan, dad"

"What's she look like?" Mountain Emmit says

"Mountain Emmit, not you too" Siv sighs. "Is there some rule that says Graybeards can't just trust a wilder's call?"

Emmit smirks and let's Frank field that one.

"I don't see that it does endanger the plan, or how it would."

"I don't actually see a -plan- at all."

"Because you could be scryed on or spied on.. I'm less likely to be. So I tell you, it could get out more likely. And the plan is simple.. I ask her to spy for us and sort out the spy the Lady Peacock has in Bergen. She's an outsider and won't be suspected."

Frank exhales through his nose and looks at Emmit.

"Well, if not a plan, at least it's a concept" Emmit concedes

"She's got someone she wants to put on the job and wants you to let her do the hiring sounds like"

"We will discuss it with your mother and Chief." Frank promises.

"You have an adventure held up in committee?" Siv blinks

Emmit CAREFULLY does not smile at that
