She settles in, carefully braiding and unbraiding a strip of bandage while reciting children's skipping rhymes and the Girl Scout motto. She may have embarrassed herself in the heat of battle, but at least she can acquit it partially by serving here.

It's a very basic healing, not the complex and careful skill of a true master who could cleanse the blood, smooth away scars, and bring back those from death's knell, but wounds knit and bones snap into place, the skill of a battlefield medic.

If anything, it's a distraction from both her embarassing fall, and a dream that keeps wanting to come to mind, of a white dress and a flower bouquet... nope! BACK TO WORK!

Thank goodness for work! Shield of dignity!

Basic or not, her skills are sorely needed. And appreciated
