Linnea arrives with the sun at Darkgate. As always, SOMEONE Is on post for new comers

She gives a trollish Salute, rather than her normal bow for her lieges. When in Rome...

"Thane Linnea, to see Chieftain Hewitt."

"Thane, be welcome. The hour is early, enter, of course, but is there some danger to the Darkgate?"

"To the Dark Gate, no. Not directly, though fate can be... strange. Danger, possibly. I would report to the chieftain, or in his absence, the Storm?"

Her horse puffs, sweated from a rapid ride, and she comes empty-handed and hastily armored, not her normal appearance. She's not even wearing the hair pin Hewitt gave her.

The thane opens the gate, and moves to help her stable her horse "Go on in. The Chieftain is in his room but I am sure he will respond to a knock on his door"

"Adelie, calm." She rubs the massive horse's nose, and the mare settles, allowing the strange thane to lead her to a stable. "Thank you."

Quickly moving to Hewitt's chambers, she knows the way, and... she can't help it, a brief pause to pat her hair down before knocking.

A voice "Blast, did I Oversleep?" A voice says Then "Wait.. nae I didnae. Who is it?"

"It's Linn, Hew. I mean, Thane Linnea." She straightens up, reminding herself that she is NOT here on pleasure.

"Linn?" And then "I mean, yes thane, a moment. Please"

"Of course."

She stands at attention, as he might expect of one of his own staff.

And he opens up the door, properly dressed, hair proper and yes, in a uniform "Thane, it is always a pleasure, but you look somber. Does Silverwolf need aid?"

"Silverwolf is hale. It is a bit of a conundrum, however. Is there a place we can speak?"

He looks bac kat his room, then seems to decide folks would get the wrong idea. "This way, the study sees little use , though Bridge Zane maybe up otherwise it'll be clear" He moves motions to her to the direction which she may recall

"It may not be a bad idea to have him present. Your decision, of course."

"Is there, perhaps, coffee?" She ventures? The hour is still early, sun just rising.

"Ah, my manners. I am a poor host." A frown "Aye. Did I need our Mountain, Hearth or Storm as well?"

He motions to an interior guard to recieve , if nothing else, Coffee orders and to fetch the Bridge

She wraps her hands around a troll-sized mug of coffee, cream, no sugar, and thanks whoever delivered the life-giving liquid.

Turning to Hewitt, "There has been a portent from a young fledge of Silverwolf. He has the makings of a natural seer."

Hewitt nods "A fledge having that potential? Your lords are blessed." He sips

"Whoever you feel should hear of this?"

Zane comes in groggy but smiling, then he gives a troll salute "Pardon. I was ..sent for?"

She pauses, and adds, "We believe it to be true foresight, but it could be a dream, or misinterpreted. I would not wish for you to rouse all the troops on a false report, even well intentioned."

"Zane, forgive me, but please go get the mountain as well. If it involves visions, it is more her balilcwick, though I respect your occult lore"

"A vision?" Zane wakes up "I'll get her. Be right back" ANd he races off, satyr speed

"Quick fellows, satyrs." The chief says "Just the mountai nand bridge then"

Mountain Wildheart strides in, rounded shades despite the early morning. Zane by her side

"SIlverwolf has news of a warning, a vision" The Chief tells them, "It maybe naught, but you two know more of such things than I"

"Vision? Huh" Zane scratchees his chin then nods

"Well, let me sip this coffee first, please" Wildheart says, her sip turns to a gulp then "Ready"

She sets her coffee down, and relates the vision, as transcribed from Nadeen's notes, taking care not to miss any elements.

"The Baron and Baroness believes it to be possibly related to danger on, or TO, the Trodways. Lord Aiden has some knowledge of soothsay, and he found especial interest in the exploding telescope. Seen through the eyes of Art, who has particular interest in reading the stars, it could be an indication of the loss of guidance, or foresight. We must not go into this blind."

"It also speaks of Balor" Wildheart says "At least, the clue is there"

"Balor, fighting alongside a mighty warrior." She muses. "In defense of the silver?"

"Hercule is also known as the strongman." She looks to the other trolls.

Hewitt nods "It would fit. "

Zane ponders "The whole thing seems pretty intense. If the Baron say the observatory as key, then that's worth looking into. If we can't see the stars," A pause "Then aren't we without light at night? Well ,moon too I guess"

"So the Balor and warrior are on the good side. That is most intriguing"

"Keep in mind that this comes from the mind of a fledge. The message may be garbled in the telling, or in the interpretation. I wonder if any other seers may have reported warnings, or may this be localized?"

"Aye, Mountain, could you do an omen of your own perchance?"

"Of course, but it helps if I have something to focus on specifically, this is very vague but I..."

and that's when Dark gate shudders as if an Earth quake hit it

Alarms ring thoreugh out, as the skeleton crew on duty sound them

Linnea presses hands down onto the table, using weight to prevent the coffee from being shaken to the floor. A sharp glance over to Hewitt.

Hewitt has also braced. For a moment he wanted to reach to her, but he respects her strength and knows she can handle that and more "To the gate!"

She draws her weapon and nods to the Chief, ready to follow orders.

THey move to the gate, the great barrier where no evil can pass, or at least, that's how it's supposed to be, but the grate gate appears to have nearly overwhelmed the staff that stands post
