Nadeen seems outfited with Dog, kestrel, and herself. She handles them and her luggage well enough . SHe's surprised "Kelby? Pardon, I wasn't expecting you"

"Chieftain Hewitt suggested Dame Kelby join us. Let me grab a few things..." She hurries up to her room.

"Quite okay, Baroness, no one expects the DeBuke imposition" Kelby smirks

Nadeen winces at that

"Booooo!" comes Sylvi's critique from the top of the stairs.

Sylvi gathers things, and Flopsy says "What? Are we being attacked?"

"Rivervale, Flopsy. Jaymes got attacked, looks like it was arranged by somebody loyal to Leech. It was a really close call. Come on."

She has a go-bag with the basics -- including a relatively small set of cosmetics -- and she grabs up her spear as well.

And flopsy follows "Oh goodness, they really are lost without us some days"

Sylvi gives him a wry grin, and they both hurry back down the stairs. "Trod, right? Could do car, but it'll take forever."

"Trod" Kelby nods "Don't worry, I know the trods."

"I'm not exactly a newb at trods myself, remember?" She doesn't mention that this is one her Dad crafted primarily for her. "Okay, let's go."

"Oh right" Kelby blushes

"Yes yes, you're both paragons of silver soldiers..." Nadeen tuts "Let's scoot"

Sylvi shares an amused glance with Kelby as Nadeen does the sidhe thing of 'taking over'...

...soon enough, they're approaching the trod rath.

Some folks stare, after all, most folks don't go into grocery stores carrying suit cases or the like

One truth that Sylvi has learned is that if you do something with enough confidence, fewer people will question it.

She nods the others down the correct aisle...and they wait for a moment when nobody is looking their way.

And it works. No one really seems to give it a second look... until Pyschka, the dog looks alert. Despite her support aniaml vest someone is still giving them the eye

Sylvi sighs and makes sure that nobody is near an endcap display of soda before hopscotching one of the bottles straight up...if it lands as she hopes, the entire display will tumble, causing plenty of distraction.

That works!

And they dart through the trod!

"Sorry about that" Nadeen huffs "Really, like big dogs can't be support animals?"

"Seriously," Sylvi agrees whole-heartedly...though she also realizes that they'd have had better luck if they went in one at a time.

Kelby lights up, and says "mmm.. " A look around "Did Olgar MAKE this trod?"

Sylvi smiles, coloring a bit. "You can tell?"

"Yes," A smile "I know some dreamcraft too" Kelby explains "Kind of had to"

"I thought he FOUND it, not made..." Nadeen humphs "You know, if i thought about it, I might tell you to stay in your lane, Davidson. I'm supposed to be the pampered princess"

"I didn't ask him to. He just did it." She's blushing.

"Come on, this way."

A not-serious glare at Kelby for blowing her cover...and then a wink.

Kelby winks back then says "custom trods are for winners, Nadeen"

"Mmph" Nadeen says as they move on, the trod is quick, and speedy and relatively safe. No doubt Olgar checks now and then to make sure it remains so

That gets Kelby a look of gratitude. And yes, this particular part of the Silver is not the place you want to go if you seek High Adventure. Thank goodness, at least for right now.

And they come out on the other end. Nadeen looks about...'Wait, are we near the bithcontrol pills?"

A sigh. "My dad thinks he's funny. Come on."

Kelby blinks, then FIGHTS a smile

Nadeena also fights it, but her eyes sparkle. Signs they are friends, they do not laugh in public. The escape is easier than they knew

and soon they arrive at Rivervale
