"Other club...." CC says "I.. thought we had this area cornered." Hmmph

"Pish, Dearest, there is plenty to go around."

"There you go again with logic and support. How am I going to get to complain about anything if you keep doing that?" But she kisses him on the cheek "I suppose I can share... a little."

"Besides, they don't have you." he says; clearly, they are therefore second-rate.

That gets him a kiss on the lips "Well said. Now, the health inspector won't be back for awhile. Should we give Teensy the day off to destress?"

"That, or slip something into her tea."

Teensy huffs "I want to put my kitchen back in order now that I don't have to worry that mittens might be three inches too close to an oven"

"Surely it can wait a day?" blithely.

"only if YOU say so, sir" grumpy troll

He gives it a moment, watching her. "It would make you feel better?"

"It would" teensy says "There's no honesty in the kitchen right now. It feels like some rich jerks idea of a car show room instead of a kitchen"

CC looks amused "The rich jerk being...?"

"Err the Health inspector" The troll clarifies, lest she lose a job.

"Go ahead." he encourages with a chuckle.

And she goes at it, a look of relief in her brow

CC pulls him further back, "is it safe for me to giggle yet?"

"Mmm.... I'd wait. She has sharp ears."

a covering of her lips and a nod

The troll goes at it with a vengeance, nothing is DIRTIED mind you, and all is safe, but she does things her own damned way

William tugs Callidora away; the stage, or a secluded table, or their office....

A secluded table, or secluded enough. She smiles at him "Top marks... oh from the health inspector too."

Then, a server comes up and gives them two menus, despite the fact they're closed to the public. Of course, they aren't the public.

He seems amused. "I think I know what's on the menu."

"Yes sir, but I don't want to get in trouble with the boss if I neglect" The server smiles "Teensy wants to cook SOMETHING to ...and I quote 'get the stink out' so.." Sheepish

CC can't help it, she breaks out in a throaty laugh

Stodgepole chuckles as well. "Then tell her we put ourselves at her mercy." and hands the menus back.

The server takes the menu and says "Will do" And heads back to the kitchen

CC says "is it wrong Teensy's moments of ire are my favorite thing about health inspectors?"

"No." he smirks.

She grins "We have good people. no doubt, but they do have comedy value"

"A good group, yes."

The meal arrives, more than one option provided...

Macaroni and Brie with Crab macaroni and cheese taken to the next level with succulent lump crabmeat and a pound of melty Brie. A golden bread crumb topping and a mini wedge of cheese finish this fancy dinner recipe.

A soft laugh, the above isn't counting all the side dishes but those are kept small. She too samples "Mmm, I think I like the Crab Mac more than I thought I would"

A sigh "It is good, but I have always found the mac and cheese overwhelms the crab, no matter what."

"I think it's a comfort thing for me," she admits "I used to feed this as a staple, minus the crab, of course, for Caesar. He almost never got tired of it." She samples "What do you think of the Salmon? Nice sear."

"Oh, yes, as a comfort food? Certainly. The salmon is very nice; the mix of fresh and dried tomatoes is particularly good."

"Andd the Japanese roast chicken? WHicch is your favorite one of the three?" Nosey and not ashamed of it

"I have to pick only one?" still smirking.

She smiles "A good poiint, why be trapped at one plate?"
