The health inspector, the ally of the community, pain in the butt for business owners.

Ah, but most are ... flexible when it comes to those inspections.

"Looks very nice," The man says "But you understand I've got to go down the list" He has a broom handle mustache and peeking eyes

"Of course, of course. Please, feel free." Stodgepole runs a tight ship; he's not worried.

And it goes along smoothly enough, though Teensy the troll eyes the guy like he's the enemy

Stodgepole gives her a mild look to hold her peace.

She grumphs but leaves it be.

He checks over at Stodgepole, "HOw often do you clean the ovens throughly?"

"Oh, the cavities and door seals? Every 24 hours. Using the manufacturer's recommended cleaning procedure, of course."

He nods and makes a note of it "Excellent. Though between you and me sometimes they reccomend cleaning materials their own sister company produces, double dipping. Still, safe is best"

"So very true.".

He moves on

CC watches from a distance and mouths 'how's it going?'

A shrug; Fine.

The guy soon finishes "Flying colors, Mr. Stodgepole. That's TWO jazz clubs in the area up to snuff. Nice."

"Thanks to the health department, ensuring we all play by the rules."

"Oh don't butter me up too much" the man grins, but things are signed, and a copy given, before he heads out.

CC watches him go "TWO Jazz clubs in this area?"

"Teensy, he's gone. No waiting for him in an alley, please."

"Mmmph.. I didn't like him" Teensy says

"A touch chilly, to be sure, but no harm done." he assures.
