"I've got a few ladies I visit now and then to let the tension out. I don't lie to them about expectations. I suppose I get to dodge some of the diplomacy, which is good as I suck at it"

"Miss CC -does- like to pick up strays...." he says glumly, then sighs again "Which I suppose I should be grateful for."

"Heh" Murray says "Yeah. She's the kind of woman who gets what she wants and somehow you don't mind the giving . I get it. I got no right to judge. For me, romance doesn't work out.Maybe if I bent a bit more it would. Maybe not. "

The boggan dares to pat the back of the ogre's hand. "You do you, as they say."

"No other way to live" he agrees and allows the gesture, "But if you're hoping for me to back your play in this, let me know what play you want before she gets here"

Emerson gestures for a third glass to be brought to the table, and looks to see where Callidora has gotten to.

Callidora has just taken a break after that last song, and is slowly hostessing her way through the tables toward them

He looks over and smiles, inviting.

"Hello boys" She wiggles up to them and let's Emerson pulll out a chair for her "how are things?"

He leaps up and does so, and will put his own glass in front of her if the requested glass hasn't arrived; he'll take it when it does.

It has, and she smiles, crossing her legs lady like and alluringly, hooves or no

"Met the new blood. Not a bad find" THe troll says "Emerson can tell you what I told him"

Emerson gives her a thumbnail sketch of it all.

"... and Murray was kind enough to suggest hosting the pair at the Farm." he... well, it's not -quite- a lie?

"She seems attatched to her house, Murray. Says she cna't afford to move" CC tells him

"Ppfft." Emerson waves that away. "The market is cooling slightly but houses still sell. And the three of us know money is not always an obstacle with the right point of view."

"ALso, Caesar is in the trade. Could give her a fair price" Murray says "But you know this, CC. "

CC hmmphs "My son gets taken advantage of enough, Murray, but I will concede Emerson's point"

"I confess, I do tink Slyfoot is adorbs. Good practice for when my own grandkids get his age" CC points out

Murray gets just a flash of 'I warned you' from Emerson's eye.

"And some of your grand kids might be on the farm. Be nice if they had a woman in your debt living there to babysit the multiotude?" Murray reminds

"If they can ever be pried out of Mrs. Maude's arms." he chuckles.

CC hurumphs "Murray, you're cute, in a 'bad boy' kind of way but you folks could help them remotely without too much trouble this day and age"

"The Grandchildren?"

"I mean Iceni and Slyfoot... you could help them remotely"

"Oh. Yes, I suppose that's true. If that suits them best, of course. Some do learn better face to face."

CC mmms, reluctant to admit his point

"Come now, Dearest, it's not as if they'll go away forever." he consoles her.

"I suppose the reason she's not wanting to leave her home is she feels too much is invested in it... if Caesar bought her out, she'd have pocket money and a hold to go to" Meaning the lodge "Well, up to them, but yes, Murray, I will push it just a bit. "

"I'm being teamed up against I suspect, and Iceni is being eyeballed for hip ratio and doesn't know it" She mms "But then again, she's a single mother and she will have a pick of a lot so I hguess it works both ways. Still feel like I'm losing an adorable Dennis the Menace that would keep my own Mr. Wilson occupied" A smirk at EBG at that last

An -INNOCENT- look back.

Murray shrugs "Also, there is the fact that while I think 'repay all debts' is junk, the farm does try to reward folks for new troll Chrysalids"

A shocked look, then CC considers "Reeaaallly? " A look at Emerson "HEar that, darling, they owe us a favor? WHatever would we do with it?"

"I'm sure you'll think of something, Dearest." dryly.

"Show a little mercy, if you don't mind" The Storm says "And we DO have our dignity"

Emerson pours another round.

CC 's eyes get wicked

As she seems to be getting an idea, a wicked, awful, idea

"So, any of your wilders interested in learning resturant and business management?"

"Mmm?" Emerson cocks an eyebrow at Murray, encouraging an answer.

"There's always someone bored of the farm" The Storm says without being insulted

"After they've seen Paree?"

"I hope the maude kids don't inherit your two's humor" Murray opinies "Yes, we have some wilders that might be interested in an apprentice ship"

"Well then! Win-win. Send them our way when you're ready."

"Now, Emerson, we can visit the farm to intervew them there if need be. YOu'll pick one out, and I will pick one out" She says "No childlings, of course"
