A bit of catch up in the day was required after tending to two new chrysalids, CC is in the changing room, well, changing, and Emerson gets to watch her undress and dress again as she talks "That goblin you encountered with Slyfoot. You don't think it's still around, do you?"

"I suppose it could be. Why?" he watches her lazily a snifter of post-performance bandy in his palm.

She scootches in a way that might be a private show, or might not. Part of the fun is she might be making him wonder "Well darling, we should let murray know ... it's one thing to leave our dear new bloods in more established community hands, it's another to leave them in danger. Though," She considers "Iceni might be quite fierce if she got her hands on said thallian"

"Mm. You have a point." without great urgency he pulls his cellphone out "Shall I call the DeBukes?"

"Please do... I know I'm a softy, must be the spring coming on. Was a time I'd have played with Iceni a bit more"

He blue-screens just a bit, but then blinks and dials the Farm.

This time the one answering is Clem "DeBuke Farm, Clem DeBuke talking"

"Clem, my dear.... Emerson here. I don't suppose your Storm is around?"

"No sir, he's either on the silver or in KC by now. Why, something else for him?"

"Could you reach out to him and let him know there might be a a Thallain goblin in the area? The bastard had the youngester of our new arrivals in his sights when he was interupted. I'd hate for Murray to be caught unawares, if such a thing is possible."

"Lord love a duck, yes definitely I'll give him a buzz on his cellphone. You folks having Thallian trouble? I know they've been growing there of late"

A sigh. "The perils of big city living, don't you know. This is the first one I've seen in a while."

"Well, I'd stay and chat but I best make a call" SHe says

"Of course. My best to all, and please tell Murray to drop into The Club if he likes. Ta."

He disconnects and slides the phone away. "Done."

"Will do" Clem says and hangs up when he does/ CC kisses Emerson "Thanks, lover. I Know I fret. I'll make it up to you... in fact, got a request for a song tonight? I know you like 'you can leave your hat on' and 'Fever' is often a hit."

"Either. Or both!" he chuckles "Unless Murray does come in; then, could you do "Lightning Strikes"?"

THAT gets a wicked laugh "I love it. And yes. "

"Wonderful." he stands, kisses her "I'll see you out there?"

"Damn straight" She has slipped on a black dress with a lot of shine hidden in the threads, when the light hits her, it will wow. "Wish me luck" A wink

"Ah, you do not need luck." softly, with pride "Knock them dead." and he slips out, and back to the Front of House.

The evening goes well, he gets 'you can leave your hat on' where CC makes him wish he were her Derby, and he's not alone in that. The two couples that are no a foursome, ever since carnival night, are now regular customers. Speaking of regulars, some old timers greet Emerson between sets. There's that 70 year old human fellow who gets a bit rummy but is always polite. Some of the songs seem to take him back to younger days. Two lady friends enjoy dressing up and coming here. And the staff is on their game! Servers move with practiced ease and warm smiles between tables. The lamb is particularly good.

Fae and Sighted employees of The Club might realizes there's a bit of additional Glamour rolling around, thanks to the Dream Dance earlier. William is in his element, schmoozing and charming.

In fact, Emerson finds his charm working a bit better than normal, and as his 'normal' is amazing , even his non cantrip skills right now a re bordering on the supernatural

He makes friends out of antiquates with ease, and his suggestions are taken as near gospel

And who could blame him if his suggestions start to include the higher- end food and drink items? After all, we only live once.....

Sales will be good that night, though he'll want to make sure they don't run low on the Black Angus Prime Rib and Lobster Dream Plate

And later, Murray enters in ... signs he's been in a fight

Emerson watches as the attractive hostess greet and seats the big man.

He motions to the bartender, getting a bottle of what he knows, or guesses, Murray likes, and sends it over with two glasses.

Murray's drinks come to him, and he looks up and nods

Emerson nods back, but does not approach. Not unless welcomed.

He motions him to join him

The short, rotund man toddles over with a smile. "How wonderful you could join us!" he says, and then more quietly "Do you require aid?"

"Few scratches is all" Murray waves it off

"And the scratchER?"

"Scratched out" Murray says, "You got a life one by the way. Iceni has a touch of blood lust in her. Jumped in to help."

A chuckle. "Oh dear."

"She's not bad for a new arrival" He says almost be grudingly, "But just because we remember being warriors dowesn't remember we remember all the skills. Her kid's a bit of a brat, but he has fire. I think I'll like them more than some others do"

"I did try to suggest that her appearance with a weapon did not mean she knew how to use it, but I didn't want to discourage her."

A nod, mmm then he says "SHe says they can't move. "

"She mentioned. I would guess it's an issue of income. You and I both know how that can be.... managed."

"mmmh. more than one way. " He admits "If she wanted to live on the farm she wouldn't starve or her kid. Let's be practical, you know and I know we DeBukesalways hope to increase our troll numbers. I know it makes us seem a bit 'handmaid's tale' but fortunately there are choices."

"I don't judge." he assures Murray.

A nod "So she may get the soft sell but she will get the sell. I'll find a way to get them to visit, see if we can coax. THe thing is, you know how it is, normally anyone else would take them to a 'local lord'" He rolls his eyes, and goes on "And for this , you'd get a finder's fee. Now that's not your style, but I do have to ask, do you want them to stay in the area for sure? Because we can mentor them 'remotely' without trouble. And either way, we owe you"

"Mmm...." he pours himself a drink as he muses.

A glance at Callidora, or the stage she usually rules.

She's on stage, finishing up a song.

A sigh. "I'm not sure as to exact details, and that could effect the answer. All things being equal, they might be better off at the Farm. You know how the streets are, here."
