The V day show was a bit of scramble, but adapted for!

And, well, a super hit! A night for lovers, and made more so by judicious use of the cupid arrow venoms used lightly. His own scratch having faded a bit by then, Emerson actually got to experiment.

But how did he experiment? Any unique ideas

All the levels of love could be encouraged, gently or otherwise. And spite and hate too... helping some couples out that had been feeling the romance die was a strong urge, call of the needy and all that

Of course, what Callidora wishes should be taken into first consideration.

OH, she did ask if there was a way to make a 'fondness' for the club, nothing too strong, other than that, her words were "Go nuts, honey bun. I know you need to tinker sometimes"

Well.... if it's what she -wants-.....

Moderating the magical effects proves tricky with raw passions, but he has some ideas he can play with. Of course ,he can reignite dwindling passions between couples. He can also tinker to create a severe case of vanity. A turn off is possible as he dilutes the hate arrow energies. And yes, there's always just plain old aphrodisiac effects.

But even there he can attune targets

Ah, but chaos is so much fun. He creates the different tinctures and then randomly adds them to different drinks as he quality-control checks them at the bar.

Add this to CC's gift of pan to lower banality during her performance, this could be quite a show indeed!

And he gets to observe the results of this experimentation

With childlike glee, yes indeed!

As it IS valentine's day, many are here for couple's time anyway. And predictably, a few get more openly affectionate... but it varies more than that.

One woman listens kindly to her partner's boasting and bragging, but as they drink, the position reverses. Where she was feeding his ego, suddenly she seems more assertive, perhaps a bit more in love iwth herself, and her boyfriend becomes increasingly attentive, almost slavishly devoted and bespelled. Emerson suggests it won't last beyond tonight.. but who knows?

Another slightly older married couple at first looking like this show might be a bit more naughty than they're fully comfortable with, but as they sip and drink they start looking about... as if evaluating others then whispering to each other as they ponder some experimention of their own. Interesting! Polyamourous influence? The social dynamics are increasing before his eyes

Nor is it just couples. One young woman with two friends is enjoying the show. By the time the three women , who came here to grouse about the holiday... begin kissing each other between drinks. Realizing the solution to their romantic loneliness is right here at the table

Oh, that -is- delightful! Of course, Callidora is preparing for her next set. Pity.

Now and then, something more surreal goes on. It takes some deduction, but he realizes that a few couples will now forever get turned on at this or that particular song. A couple in their thirties are probably going to be surprised that 'Luck be a Lady' always gets them in the mood, at least a little.

Interesting, emotions tied to a song

Oh dear! One couple has broken into a fight! The ability to sow dissenion is worthy study.

they should make up later.. low dosage

Hardly a revelation, really; Callidora has been stirring his emotions for years, now, with her song.

And, sometimes a fight is worth it for the makeup sex.

Still, if he could give a higher dosage in a noble hold... it might tear them apart. Oh well ,if he were into that

It would appear one fellow is making his lady blush as he's trying poetry of a romantic sorts "Bill, " She blushes "Why are you quoting Shakespeare?"

Oh dear. He may have a problem. CC is performing again, and a couple , they look to be career focused, is in for a snag. The fellow must have had some love juice in his drink because he seems utterly smitten by CC , the wife, notices this, and is looking a bit irked.

When he suggests to her they invite her into their bed, she looks at him and says "Richard, are you high???"

She can do so much better than either of you.... he thinks, bemused.

Oh, truer words seldom thought!

And CC gets another break, and she peeks out to join him "How goes it?" She smiles wickedly

He fills her in, gesturing nonchalantly to the affected and afflicted.

"Oh dear" She looks amused "So many to play with"

A giggle at the shakespeare quoter "She should just enjoy it" At the invite to a three way with Richard and his reluctant wife, she looks them over "mmm is it vain to think I could do better?"

"Not in the least. You can do -far- better. Far better than I, as well."

"Oh now, stop that" She takes his chin and looks into his eye, "You are the best thing that's ever happened to me, and for all my blues, I've had some good times"

A wry smile "Thank you, Dearest." he gives her a soft kiss, and whoever sees it, sees it.
