CC cooks at her home's kitchen, the window open, as she starts to sing a song of love and delight

It takes but a moment, but a Cupid chimera peeks in, sticking it's head through the open window.

The frying pan comes in from the side wall where she lays in wait, and knocks it over the brow , and and renders it out cold

"Gets them 3 times out of 5" She says pleased and looks to Emerson "Grab it's ammo. That is top of the line magic there. Don't prick yourself. "

"I'll wipe it's memory and send it on its way."

Skillfully, he retrieves the arrows without risk to himself. "There we go. Excellent work, Dearest. Do continue, if it pleases you."

Ah yes, there's a color coding to most arrows. Black points for hate, pink for infatuation, red hot for lust, and a more standard red for romantic love for example. It's not always a constant, but Emerson knows better than most how to deal with sharp edges that have substances on them

CC nods "I tend to be a romantic, but I will confess these things are annoying in swarms" She wipes the memory of that one and sends it out on a laundry line that's been rigged for this situation

Then begins to sing again, "Ooo I wanna dance with somebody"

It's a quiet morning at home, but tonight at The Club there will indeed be dancing and music and celebratory food and drink, along with complementary and unannounced treats for all.

This always adds to the tips, which pleases the staff.

Another Cupid comes in "Ah, the song of onee hopoing for looov.."

"Rather dim, aren't they?" He tidies up that one.

"They are, to pardon the musical expression, a bit one note" she agrees "Have any plans what to do with the arrows? Could just use them as dross, of course, but tonight's V day celeberations might go even better if we guarentee the right mood for the clients"

"I've noticed these tend to have a short shelf-life, so yes. Tonight, or dross. Or, feed to the 'Fire tonight if you like."

"They do tend to wane quickly... guess they don't quite make cupids like they used to" a tut of nostalgia "Now some of the cupids in my teens, those were worthy adverseries"

She peeks out "Oh when will KNOW true love" And hits a disney tune from Snow white...

like sugar for ants, that one is

No sooner does CC bong one, when Emerson realizes there's another closing it.. she got a twofer! and when the second sees his unconcious buddy, he may arrow the woman EBG loves

With a grunt, he lunges to remove Callidora from 'danger,' even if that 'endangers' him.

"Look out!"

CC sees him do this, only to get tackled... the arrow sticks in his butt... which is ironically the basis for the classic heart shape, though admitedly his is a bit looser in some ways than the typical one

He grunts as he's struck, and, playing the odds given the season, gazes down at Callidora under him. Hardly the first time for this view.

Oh this is assinie... he's been hit with puppy love and severe crush... he wants to write sonnets

fortutnately he's strong willed and holds it off. CC gestures at the Cupid...and mutters "Take these broken wings"

and vines entwine about it ,and lay it captured on the floor

She's SO clever. Just so perfect. He fights a sigh. THIS could be annoying

-IF- it were not -HER- he would be irritated beyond belief, at least after the fact.

But it IS her.... and he was already deeply in love with her. The feeling of fresh infatuation, doting affection, the intensity of adolescent passion is refreshing and wonderful. He sighs, smiling with a goofy expression, watching her from on top.

"Are you okay? What arrow did he hit you with? Not lust or I think you'd be ..well" Ahem "I know what we'd be doing then. Hate? Please don't let it be... why IS that grin on your face?" She says, a lock of hair falling fetchingly across one horn

"I just love you -SO- much." He explains.

She blushes "Well, could be worse. Love you too, baby, but you need to roll off me so I can tend to our guest"

"This was a trap" The entwined cupid says "Treachery, on Valentine's Day? You're arrow thieves, that's what you are"

"Oh! Oh, of course, so sorry... " and he does, hovering nearby "Want me to do it?"

He picks up a chef's knife.

The cupid's eyes go WIDE at the knife "On the other hand, no need to get bloody"

CC smirks at the Cupid's take on this, then says 'No honey I got it" She takes the skillet and conks that cupid out too "Now, go ahead and get the arrows from that one, please?"

"Sure!" eager to please, he sets the knife down and gets the arrow "Shall I put them in a vase for you?"

"We'll use them like the others" She reminds and takes the conked cupids on the line, readying a spell to mess with memory

He stalls out, holding the arrows and watching her work with a wistful sigh.

There's a temptation to jab her rear end with one of the infatuation arrows too so she can be just as twitterpated as he and enjoy. A bit selfish, and his will is strong enough to resist the urge if he wants to

He struggles with it, to be sure.
