He saunters over, kenning as he goes.

Oh, she kens as a changeling alright, though her guise is pure mortal.

No outward signs of kith - neatly hidden!

"Oh look, it's my boss, the manager and maitre d," George says with a kind of relief "I best get to table 7 and leave him in your capable hands..." Retreeaatt

"Awwwww...." A POUT. "Don't forget the tuuuuunaaaaaa!'

She glances over at Emerson. "Are you going to give me a list of Maitre do's and Maitre don'ts?"

"Perish the thought. Are you recently arrived to Kansas City?"

"You've forgotten me already? Why, my own fairy godfather, forgotten me, perish the thought."

Her eyes are familiar! There's the feline green pupils, glinting with amusement.

He tilts his head, searching his memory. "Mmm... I believe you may have learned some skills since I last saw you, as I rarely forget a face. Unless the face has forgotten itself?"

"Well, here I thought your memory was purrrrrrrrrrr-fect." Her voice hasn't changed! Surely Emerson remembers Carola.

"Brushing up on old ones, more like." A mischievous smile.

"Ahhhh...." a smile "Well, come say hello to Miss
CC? Let me buy you a drink." he offers.

"Oh! A drink! I would love one." The waiter completely forgotten, she accompanies him.

He leads her along to Callidora, sparing a glance at thier new trombone player and her table
as he goes.

The redhead offers a hand to CC, purring her introduction. "Call me Carmine? It goes with the hair."

“Or call me whatever you like… as long as you call me?”

A coquettish blink.

"Oh hello" CC says taking the hand "I see"

"Hope you enjoyed the show?"

"Oh, yes, very much so! " A grin, her eyes landing on Miss Jewel, rather than the stage."

CC chuckled "That part won't be a repeat performance"

A pout. "No? Even if I ask nicely? It was ever so interesting."

She peers over at Emerson in clear curiosity.

"Well, Mina might be sticking about"

"Is my godfather the bartender here? He made her the most delightful drink."

"Emerson, get her one on the house, will you? " a smile

A grand eyebrow arches "I don't know that she would care for that year of champagne, Dearest. As observant as she is."

A pout. "No, no, he promised, the drink of the Czars."

"With cream."

"I'll come up with something." he promises, and moves off.... getting a good look at Mina's table as he goes.

Mina is looking annoyed at Julie/Jewel's comments. Jewel is trying to take some passive agressive jibes in but Mina's not putting up with it, and the men aren't automatically taking Jewel's side

"Carmine" Leans on her elbows, watching with glee.

"Mmm?"

"Perhaps they will pull hair? Oh, a proper spat!"

"If one starts I may fudge the contest in Mina's favor. Far more tolerable, and a musican. I have biases"

Stodgepole maneuvers skillfully through the room with a tray that has several highballs on it.

"He's rather quick on his feet." She observes to CC. "Despite his size, he moves well. Like... like Butterball." She says with a grin.

"A white Russian?" he offers Carmine.

"Oh he moves well when it cou-" A smile "Hi dear"

"Oooooooo"

She accepts the drink, and then, pausing, kens it.

The drink is just a drink!

"Dearest, I know you prefer to avoid dairy when you sing.... Black Russian?" he offers "Or bourbon?" there are two glasses left.

She offers it to him, friendly. "Wouldst thou have a sip with me?" Oh, perhaps she's not all silly fluff in the head. She watched him serving drinks to the others, it seems.

No accusation, just... perhaps it was a test?
