Stodgepole stages up his champaign service and positions it all so he can pick up Mina after her set and escort her and the bottle back to the table. After that, it's all Callidora.... and Mina.

CC starts up a performance and the gift of pan kicks in. She flirts with the trombone player, Mina, and Mina, doing .. .just okay, starts up and gets into it, the rust coming off old skills

Jewel at the table watches , of course, then, slowly, recognition kicks in, her jaw drops

And she loses the attention of the men with her

Emerson can see the resentment fester in the blonde, all the more when her own foot gets the urge to tap along

He smirks, keeping an eye on both. Like a chameleon.

And speaking of tap. ... CC takes the trombone, and Emerson sees Mina has been loaned some tap shoes. HE didn't know they had any.

And while the girl is skilled with the trombone, her tap skills are amazing, and CC shows off her own versitlity by playing the trombone to compliment the tap to the jazzy cover of Bad Romance

Oh and Jewel tries to criticise, but the gift of pan has removed some jadedness from others and the two men barely seem to realize Jewel is there as the woot and cheer for Mina's tap solo

Stodgepole likewise celebrates her pushing her bounderies. Perhaps they will not be the only ones tonight....

CC seems to gauge the girl's endurance and before it can get too taxed, calls out "Everyone, our very specail guest appearance.. by Mina!"

Oh, he LEADS the applause for that!

Mina takes a bow

and others applaud as well

Emerson may take delight that the only person not pleased with the show is Jewel.

He suspects Jewel is a self given name, and the woman's name is actually Julie

A credit card reciept might well tell, although the men are 99.99% paying....

"Mina, my dear, a triumph. You really should consider taking those arts up again. Allow me...." he takes the tray and walks her back to the table.

A hint of motion further back in the club, where a redhead in a low cut cocktail dress is flirting with one of the waiters. Something familiar about her, though. Mannerisms, perhaps, as the face is not recognized.

"THank you, sir" She says with a blush

The redhead finds the waiter trying very hard not to flirt back, and possibly failing

"What do you mean, you don't have tuna tartare? You have tuna on the menu...." A lovely pout. "Simply... don't ruin it with all that cooking?"

"I can see if we can do a custom order" The waiter says

Mina is lead to her table

Jewel takes her shot "I didn't know you were a band geek, Mina"

"Complimentary champaign, for our guest star." he follows smoothly, setting the glasses out just so and opening the bottle without a silly flourish (so, correctly).

And he pours.

"Oh my thank you" Mina gushes

"Not a band geek, Julie" Mina says, the gift still making her bold "I took tap lessons when I was very young, my grand mother was in vaudeville acts. And the trombone, that was from an uncle. "

"Well," The guy who was supposed to be her date all along answers " I think it's great"

Stodgepole serves the table and leaves the bottle; Miss Jewel will suffer the worse for the drink rather more quickly than she might be used to. Embarassing but what can one do?

Indeed, for Jewel it will seem as if she's had a bottle compared to the glass the others did

And Emerson can watch as over the course of minutes, Jewel/julie's control slips and she slurs "You think you're SOOOOO Special, don'cha mina... well... my ###s are bigger than yours...How you like them apples?"

Stodgepole sends the server over to check on the table.

CC has taken another break and joins Emerson while the server checks "Oh dear. Someone can't handle her champagne. Maybe she's more of a miller's lite kinda of gal?"

"Or Pabst." mildly.

"Schlitz is out of business isn't it? Pity" A smirk "Mina's not bad by the way, lot of rust on her but with some practice she could get back in the game. As for 'Jewelie' or whatever... at this rate of social self destruction I think I see a 'fans only site' of dubious nature in her future to make friends"

"Heaven forbid." still mild "One can only hope she embraces change and self-improvement."

"One can but hope," A nod "But maybe I'm feeling my Winter coming on, I'm not really going to shed a lot of tears if she fails at it. "A look at him "Should I try to recruit Mina? She isn't top talent, not yet to be sure, but she's a pleasant enough girl."

"Oh, that's entirely up to you, Dearest." he says, still watching the table "I think tonight is sufficient for Miss Jewel's consequences but if you would like Mina to return feel free to saunter over and make the offer. It might be the cherry on top. I know what the effect on those gentlemen will be."

The redhead is now trying to convince the waiter that he can join her at the table, nevermind his work and other clients.

"Oh please, neither of those guys is getting to first base with her tonight. I'll introduce her to a much higher quality of men and see if there's a click. They only NOW notice her, when she's supposed to be on a date? Nope. Ship sailed. She's upgrading"

The waiter stammers something about his hours and table 7

"Table seven? She's a 6 at best." Leaning forward with a purr and showing off a hint of decolletage.

CC looks at Emerson "You might want to check out the redheaded Femme fatale slowing down George"

He glances. "Mm. Why the interest, I wonder. On her part, not his."

She has reached up and is batting playfully at the man's tie.

"Fun, I think"

"Well, takes one to know one." he mutters with a teasing smirk "Shall I rescue him?"

"You best, or Table Seven is going to get cranky" A smile
